Principal Delivery Manager - 6 Month Contract

About the role and team:
What you’ll be doing:
- Support with the discovery phase to define project scope, gather complex requirements, and identify critical user needs, ensuring a robust foundation for successful platform delivery.
- Lead and own delivery across multiple teams, ensuring projects are aligned with the client's strategic vision for their trading platform and drive tangible business value in the energy market.
- Embed best-practice methodologies, combining Agile, Lean, and traditional approaches to optimise delivery of a systemic trading platform, navigating the unique challenges of this sector.
- Engage with senior stakeholders ensuring alignment, visibility, and confidence in the delivery of the platform.
- Champion Agile and Lean principles, facilitating ceremonies, optimising workflows, and ensuring high-performing teams capable of delivering a complex trading system.
- Drive innovation in delivery practices, defining tools, frameworks, and metrics that enhance efficiency and quality in the development.
We’d love to talk to you if you are an accomplished delivery leader with:
- Extensive experience in programme or delivery management within digital or technology-led environments, ideally within the energy sector.
- Demonstrable experience leading multi-disciplinary teams across complex accounts, particularly those involving intricate trading systems.
- A proven ability to coach and grow delivery teams, and drive delivery maturity in client and consultancy settings.
- A collaborative, pragmatic mindset — you’re a problem-solver who thrives in ambiguity and leads by example, with a strong understanding of the fast-paced and high-stakes nature of energy trading.
As this is a hybrid role, focussing on Edinburgh we’re looking for people within a commuting distance of our Edinburgh office and who are flexible to travel to client sites and CreateFuture regional offices. We are very flexible and trust you to manage your own schedule to balance face-to-face time with clients, colleagues and working from home.
