The Solution Architect reduces delivery risk, improves architectural consistency, and enables teams to move faster with confidence by translating business intent into pragmatic, scalable architectures.This role is critical for maintaining architectural coherence across multiple squads and vendors while balancing customer outcomes, delivery timelines, and technical trade-offs.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR?
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
- Experience in the retail loyalty domain, including designing and delivering scalable loyalty, rewards, customer engagement, and retail technology solutions
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years in software engineering and/or solution architecture
- Backend Expertise: Strong experience with Node.js backend architectures and API-first design
- Mobile Platform: Experience with React Native-backed digital platforms
- Cloud & Infrastructure: Proven delivery using AWS-native patterns, containerized services, relational data stores, and asynchronous messaging
- Multi-team Delivery: Experience working across multiple teams and external vendors
- Master's degree in Computer Science or relevant postgraduate qualification
- AWS Solutions Architect, TOGAF, or equivalent certification
- Experience in retail, fulfilment, or operational environments
- Experience with SAP Commerce Cloud and enterprise integration patterns
- Track record of successful multi-squad, multi-vendor initiatives
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING?
- Own solution design for initiatives spanning multiple squads and vendors by analyzing requirements, designing end-to-end architectures, and coordinating technical alignment so that complex initiatives have clear technical direction and reduced delivery risk
- Translate business intent into pragmatic, scalable architectures by collaborating with product and business stakeholders, evaluating technical options, and balancing trade-offs so that solutions deliver customer outcomes within delivery timelines and technical constraints
- Define and govern API contracts with IT-owned enterprise platforms by establishing API standards, reviewing integration designs, and ensuring contract compliance so that integrations with SAP Commerce Cloud and other enterprise systems are consistent and maintainable
- Provide technical assurance through design reviews and delivery checkpoints by evaluating solution designs, identifying risks, and ensuring architectural decisions consider security, reliability, scalability, and maintainability so that technical quality is maintained and delivery risks are mitigated
- Design integration patterns by defining API strategies, event-driven architectures, and data synchronization approaches so that systems integrate reliably and efficiently across squad and vendor boundaries
- Partner with Product and Business stakeholders by shaping solutions that balance customer outcomes, delivery timelines, and technical trade-offs so that technical decisions support business objectives and are delivered pragmatically
