The Solutions Architect will be accountable for end-to-end solution design and technical alignment across bigly squads and delivery partners, bringing clarity and direction to complex, multi-team initiatives and ensuring initiatives land safely in production. The role exists to reduce delivery risk, improve architectural consistency, and enable teams to move faster with confidence.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR?

• 5–8+ years’ experience in software engineering, with experience in solution architecture or technical leadership

• Strong experience building Node.js backend services and API-first architectures

• Experience working with React Native–backed digital platforms

• Solid delivery experience using cloud-native patterns, preferably on AWS (Azure or GCP experience also accepted)

• Proven ability to own and drive end-to-end solution design and architectural decisions across multiple teams

• Comfortable working across multiple teams and external delivery partners 

• Strong grounding in modern engineering practices: distributed systems and non-functional requirements such as security, scalability, reliability, and observability

• Able to clearly communicate and align technical decisions with engineering, product, and business stakeholders

• Advantageous: Retail, fulfilment, or operational environments

• Advantageous: SAP Commerce Cloud

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

• Advantageous: Cloud or architecture certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP, TOGAF, or similar)

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING?

• Own solution design for initiatives spanning multiple squads, systems, and vendors

• Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable, and secure architectures

• Define and govern API contracts and integration patterns, including with enterprise platforms (e.g. SAP Commerce Cloud)

• Produce and maintain clear architecture artefacts, including

• Provide technical assurance through design reviews, delivery checkpoints, and go-live readiness

• Identify and actively manage technical risks, dependencies, and trade-offs

• Ensure architectural decisions consider security, reliability, scalability, observability, and long-term maintainability

• Work closely with Product and Business stakeholders to balance customer outcomes, timelines, and technical trade-offs

• Contribute to production code when needed to unblock teams or de-risk delivery

• Provide reference implementations, templates, and reusable patterns

• Participate in architecture-level code reviews
