The Reputation and Storytelling Content Strategist is responsible for supporting the implementation of the brand strategy to build strong brand equity, drive growth, and ensure consistent messaging across all touchpoints. The role ensures the brand resonates with target audiences, supports business objectives, and reflects X, bigly labs’ culture, values, and market positioning. It relies on data-driven insights and research to guide strategic decisions, identify opportunities, and optimise brand performance across all channels. We’re looking for a high-performing strategist with a sharp eye for social campaign analytics and the ability to translate insights into measurable platform success.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR?
- Minimum bachelor's degree in marketing, Business Administration, Brand Management or related discipline.
- +5 years’ experience in community management, performance and campaign reporting across LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, digital advertising and performance marketing.
- Proven track record of developing and executing brand strategies, marketing campaigns and delivering measurable brand growth.
- Experience working across or getting exposed to multiple channels beyond digital i.e. (PR/production) and collaborating with internal senior stakeholders and external agencies.
- Excellent facilitation project management skills.
- Strong analytical skills, creative thinking, strategic mindset, and excellent communication and presentation capabilities.
- Knowledge of the South African retail market, consumer behaviour and brand dynamics is preferred.
- Budget management experience and ability to manage supplier/agency relationships.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING?
- Contribute to the development and implementation of X, bigly labs integrated brand strategy that drives awareness, consideration, and engagement of content across all communication channels (LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Web, PR).
- Develop creative content ideas for our leadership team and the wider X, bigly labs community that educate audiences on who we are, showcase our work, and drive meaningful platform growth.
- Monitor and evaluate brand and campaign performance using data-driven insights.
- Ensure consistent, high-quality brand communication across all internal and external platforms.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to support brand objectives.
WHO YOU ARE?
- Strong ability to interpret consumer insights and user behaviour and application to optimise brand work.
- Ability to interpret consumer and user data, identify trends, and turn insights into actionable content strategies.
- Deep awareness of market dynamics, competitors, and consumer behaviour.
- Prioritising multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines. X, bigly labs is a new and growing brand, things change all the time.
- Overseeing campaigns from concept to completion with clear milestones and managing each aspect of the project.
- Demonstrates the ability to navigate ambiguity with confidence and composure. Adapts effectively to shifting priorities, evolving goals, and dynamic business contexts.
