Melrose Arch (Hybrid)

We are X, bigly labs, Dis-Chem’s high-performance innovation hub; a place where bold ideas meet data, design, and radical customer focus to reimagine what healthcare can be.

Our mission is to power the future of healthcare by lowering costs, unlocking new possibilities, and improving access to healthcare for all South Africans. We do this through cutting-edge digital solutions that deliver smarter, more human, and truly patient-focused experiences. Here, your work is not limited to a whiteboard; it becomes real. It drives decisions, shapes experiences, and moves healthcare forward. We are driven by one big question: How do we use data and today’s technology to build breakthroughs to better health?

There’s only one question left: are you ready to make healthcare smarter, and actually mean it?

We’re looking for a Product Manager with strong data, retail, and (ideally) pharmacy domain experience to join our team. This role will focus on delivering impactful products linked to retail and vendor initiatives, working closely with the CDI team.

  • Proven product management experience in digital environments. (minimum 4 years)
  • Strong data-driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into action
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field, or related experience.
  • Experience collaborating with engineering, design, and commercial teams.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Miro, Figma, Confluence, Lucidchart or equivalent.
  • Advantageous: Background in healthcare, financial services, or retail industries.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING?

  • Translate product strategy into a backlog so that squads have a clear delivery plan.
  • Prioritise backlog items by balancing customer value, technical feasibility, and business impact so that delivery focuses on the highest-value work.
  • Deliver features against roadmap commitments so that customer and business outcomes are achieved.
  • Facilitate sprint planning and retrospectives so that the squad is aligned and continuously improving.
  • Remove delivery blockers so that squads can achieve sprint goals.
  • Monitor squad performance metrics (velocity, predictability) so that delivery becomes more reliable.
  • Track feature adoption so that product value can be demonstrated.
  • Monitor NPS/CSAT/Similar metrics so that customer satisfaction is measured.
  • Analyse retention and engagement metrics so that churn drivers are identified and addressed.

WHO YOU ARE?

  • Strong technical understanding and product knowledge
  • Analytical thinker with solid problem-solving skills
  • Business-savvy with a focus on delivering measurable value
  • Clear communicator who can align diverse stakeholders
  • Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Quality-driven and detail-oriented
  • Self-managed, proactive, and accountable
  • Natural leader who can guide squads and influence outcomes

Our values show up in how we think, build, and make choices that make an impact. We are building a culture that drives progress; one that fixes friction, chases what changes, and owns the outcome. We design with tomorrow in mind, ask sharper questions, and answer them with care, urgency, and systems that scale.

Think you’ve got energy, curiosity, and guts? Come hold the space, make it matter, and own a breakthrough.
