ABOUT WUNDERFLATS

Wunderflats is Germany's market leader for flexible furnished housing. The Berlin-based scale-up was founded in 2015 by Jan Hase and Arkadi Jampolski. The platform provides easy and secure solutions for medium-term rentals with a minimum rental period of one month, connecting those seeking flexible housing with those offering it.

Wunderflats provides a comprehensive rental solution, offering verified rental agreements, apartments, tenants, and landlords, along with additional services such as professional photography and rental management.

Wunderflats currently lists over 50,000 apartments in Europe and has over 190 employees. For more information, visit wunderflats.com.

Join us on our mission to disrupt the rental market by putting all rents online.

We are building the infrastructure to make renting apartments as seamless and secure as booking a hotel — and payments are at the heart of that transformation.
Therefore we are looking for a Product Manager (f/m/d) to join our growing Payments team. In this role, you will lead the execution of new features, payment methods, and product improvements that power the flow of money across our marketplace. You will collaborate closely with engineers, designers, finance, and operations to deliver a smooth and trustworthy payment experience for both landlords and tenants.
This is a high-impact, execution-focused role reporting to the Product Lead for Payments, who owns the strategic direction. You’ll play a key role in scaling our First Month’s Rent feature, implementing new payment methods, and shaping the future of how rent is paid online.

The job is initially limited to 12 months. An extension is possible.

YOUR MISSION

  • Own the product development and optimization of Wunderflats’ marketplace payment flows
  • Execute new payment methods and features, working closely with engineers, design, finance, legal, and customer operations
  • Iterate on the First Month’s Rent feature to improve user experience, adoption, and operational efficiency
  • Use data to inform product decisions, run experiments, and evaluate impact
  • Translate complex challenges into structured, actionable work for your cross-functional team
  • Collaborate with the Product Lead to shape the broader roadmap for payments and rent handling

YOUR PROFILE

Must-Have Skills

  • 2–3 years of experience as a Product Manager in the fintech or payments domain (e.g. PSPs, marketplace payments, payout systems)
  • Strong data and analytical skills – Hands-on experience with product analytics tools (e.g. Amplitude, Mixpanel, Looker Studio) to guide decisions and measure impact
  • Experience working in a cross-functional product team delivering features end-to-end
  • Ability to communicate clearly across technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Structured thinking, prioritization, and a doer mindset – you make things happen
  • Curiosity, empathy, and a growth mindset – you’re constantly learning and improving

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with implementing or optimizing payment methods or payout flows
  • Background in data analytics or working closely with a data team
  • Experience in a marketplace or scale-up environment
  • Exposure to financial compliance, risk, or cost optimization
