We’re expanding the search and discovery function at Workwize and are looking to work with senior-level SEO, GEO, and technical growth leaders who build durable organic systems, not short-term wins.

This is not a keyword execution role. This is about owning search as an infrastructure layer, where technical foundations, content intent, HubSpot, and AI-driven discovery intersect.

We’re looking for people who can reason about why performance looks the way it does, not just optimize what’s already visible.

Who this is for

You’re likely a strong fit if you:

  • Can diagnose underperformance across crawlability, indexing, intent, architecture, and delivery — and explain root causes in clear, decision-ready terms
  • Are equally fluent in Google Search Console, CMS constraints, and engineering trade-offs
  • Understand modern search behavior, including AI Overviews, semantic retrieval, zero-click SERPs, and LLM-mediated discovery
  • Have worked with B2B, product-led, or enterprise-grade sites where scale, complexity, and legacy decisions materially affect outcomes
  • Think in systems: how technical SEO, content structure, internal linking, and tooling reinforce or undermine each other

What you’d own

Search infrastructure & technical foundations

  • Design and maintain a crawlable, scalable site architecture that supports long-term organic growth
  • Own URL strategy, internal linking logic, canonicals, sitemaps, and robots.txt with intent, not defaults
  • Identify and resolve indexing, rendering, and crawl efficiency issues surfaced through Search Console and log-level signals

Deep technical audits & remediation

  • Run recurring technical audits focused on prioritization and impact, not exhaustive checklists
  • Diagnose and remediate complex issues including:
    • Redirect chains, legacy URL structures, and migration debt
    • Duplicate or competing pages and cannibalization patterns
    • JavaScript rendering, hydration, and dynamic content challenges
    • Metadata inconsistencies and schema gaps at scale
    • Mobile, international, and multi-language SEO constraints
  • Partner directly with engineering and web teams to get fixes shipped, validated, and monitored — not just documented

Performance & Core Web Vitals

  • Improve real-world performance across LCP, CLS, INP, and page speed
  • Optimize asset loading, images, scripts, and third-party tooling without breaking conversion paths
  • Balance SEO, UX, design, and HubSpot functionality with clear trade-off decisions

Structured data, AEO & future-facing search

  • Implement and maintain structured data for products, FAQs, reviews, blogs, comparisons, and guides
  • Prepare content for AI-driven discovery through clean semantic structure and machine-readable intent
  • Advise on how content should be formatted and structured to perform in AI Overviews, answer engines, and LLM-based search environments

HubSpot-specific SEO ownership

  • Ensure HubSpot templates, modules, and page types meet technical SEO standards
  • Maintain SEO hygiene across blogs, landing pages, resource hubs, and gated content
  • Support migrations, template refactors, and performance improvements within HubSpot
  • Align SEO efforts with HubSpot reporting, attribution, and lifecycle stages

Supporting content at scale

  • Strengthen authority content and pillar pages through:
    • Internal linking frameworks and crawl depth optimization
    • Topic clustering and content relationship modeling
    • Logical heading hierarchies and metadata strategy
  • QA new pages before launch and guide post-publish optimization

Cross-functional leadership

  • Work closely with content, growth, product, and web teams
  • Translate SEO requirements into developer-ready guidance
  • Act as a strategic partner and quality bar, not a bottleneck

Measurement & insight

  • Track organic performance across impressions, rankings, traffic, and index coverage
  • Monitor impact after major launches, redesigns, or migrations
  • Identify expansion opportunities such as featured snippets, AI placements, and long-tail capture
  • Report clearly on what’s working, what’s not, and why — with implications for decision-making

Tooling experience we value

Hands-on experience with modern SEO and performance tooling, including:

  • Crawling & audits: Screaming Frog, Sitebulb
  • Search diagnostics: Google Search Console
  • Performance: PageSpeed Insights, GTmetrix
  • Analytics & attribution: GA4, HubSpot
  • SERP analysis: Ahrefs, Semrush
  • Structured data validation: Schema.org tools

How we work

  • Flexible, freelance, or project-based collaboration
  • Expectation of stepping into live environments and raising the quality bar quickly
  • Comfort working across HubSpot, custom stacks, or hybrid setups

Workwize offers:

  • A competitive salary and bonus scheme while working in a fast-growing, and dynamic environment.
  • Flexibility to work in a hybrid/remote environment, balancing office and home settings.
  • The best working setup, with all necessary tools and equipment provided.
  • A vibrant, entrepreneurial work environment that encourages innovation and growth.
