The Role and What You’ll Own
The mission of the Marketplace team is to build the infrastructure that connects creators with fans, tech companies with talent, and filmmakers with the resources they need to make extraordinary work.
The Wonder App is the engine behind all. We’re building the place where the next generation of filmmakers gets found, supported, and paid.
We launched the App earlier this year. It already has 2,000+ members, growing double digits week on week, and best in class MAU. We’re at an inflection point with real PMF and we need a Founding Product Engineer to take it to the next level.
The Marketplace team also owns several other huge surface areas:
- We just launched Wonder TV - a curated streaming platform aimed at combining what Mubi is to film discoverability and what Patreon is to the creator economy. It already has 10 award winning filmmakers showcasing their films and getting paid. You will shape the future of how creators and fans interact
- We just launched Wonder Talent Management - our elite talent representation division. We already have some of the best AI talent on the roster. You will shape the infrastructure that dictates the future of how the best talent gets connected to the right jobs.
- Tokenised film finance - as we lay the foundations for creators and fans to interact, we want to democratise how films get funded and how fans participate. Think crowdfunding for films. You will own the infrastructure for changing how films make it to screens.
You’ll work alongside Max (Head of Marketplace) and the rest of the Marketplace Team to own meaningful product surface areas from day one — not inherited roadmaps, but real decisions that shape the future of how creators earn and how talent gets discovered.
