So what’s the role?

We are seeking a highly skilled and delivery-focused Laravel PHP Team Lead to drive the development of our internal platform. This role combines technical leadership with a strong emphasis on stakeholder communication and timely project delivery. The candidate must have expertise in Laravel, Blade, and Livewire, along with the ability to create responsive UIs using pure HTML and CSS. Proficiency in AWS cloud services is essential for ensuring scalability and performance.

Sounds great – what will I do?

• Lead a team of developers to design, build, and maintain a scalable internal platform using Laravel, Blade, and Livewire.
• Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring their requirements are clearly understood, prioritized, and communicated to the development team.
• Proactively update stakeholders on project progress, timelines, and any potential risks or challenges.
• Manage and deliver projects on time, maintaining a strong focus on meeting business goals and deliverables.
• Provide technical guidance to the team, conduct code reviews, and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Oversee the creation of clean, responsive, and user-friendly UIs using pure HTML and CSS.
• Ensure smooth integration of third-party APIs and services and optimize application performance.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using AWS services, including CodePipeline, CodeDeploy, and Elastic Beanstalk.
• Foster a collaborative team environment focused on accountability, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.

Sounds perfect to me, what specifics are you looking for?

• Strong experience with PHP (7+ years preferred) and Laravel framework (5+ years preferred).
• Proficiency in Blade and Livewire for building interactive UI components.
• Expertise in HTML and CSS, with a strong focus on responsive design.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and integration.
• Proven experience deploying and managing applications on AWS (S3, EC2, RDS, Lambda).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation (AWS CodePipeline, CodeDeploy, Elastic Beanstalk).
• Strong database management skills (MySQL).
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations and provide clear, concise updates.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage deliverables under tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS Elastic Beanstalk is highly valued.
• Proficiency in project management using JIRA.
