HR and Recruitment Manager

But what’s the role?

We are looking for a passionate HR Manager to support our growing global team  This is UK-based role but you will support the global business.

Sounds great – what will I do?

This role involves both HR and Recruitment responsibilities:

  • HR Responsibilities (Primarily UK Focused):

    1. Employee Relations and Engagement

      • Serve as the primary point of contact for all HR-related matters in the UK, fostering a positive working environment.
      • Address and resolve employee concerns, grievances, and disputes, ensuring fair and compliant practices.
      • Lead initiatives that drive employee engagement, well-being, and retention.
    2. HR Policy Implementation and Compliance

      • Develop, update, and enforce HR policies, ensuring compliance with UK employment laws and regulations.
      • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislative changes and best practices in HR for the UK.
    3. Performance Management

      • Support UK line managers in implementing performance review processes, providing guidance on feedback, development plans, and performance improvement strategies.
      • Ensure consistency in performance management across the UK team in alignment with global HR practices.
    4. Onboarding and Offboarding

      • Oversee the end-to-end employee lifecycle for the UK team, including onboarding, role transitions, and offboarding.
      • Facilitate smooth induction processes for new UK employees, including contracts, benefits, and orientation.
    5. Compensation and Benefits Administration

      • Manage UK payroll, benefits, and compensation in line with market benchmarks and company policies.
      • Liaise with external providers to ensure the effective administration of pensions, health insurance, and other benefits.
    6. Training and Development

      • Identify learning and development needs for UK employees and coordinate relevant training initiatives.
      • Work with global teams to align UK training programs with overall company objectives.
    7. HR Data Management and Reporting

      • Maintain accurate HR records for UK employees, including personal data, performance data, and compliance documentation.
      • Provide regular HR metrics and insights to senior leadership for the UK entity.

    Recruitment Responsibilities (Global):

    1. Talent Acquisition Strategy

      • Lead global recruitment efforts across multiple regions (UK, USA, Singapore) to attract top talent in tech and other key roles.
      • Develop and execute global recruitment strategies aligned with watchTowr’s growth plans and cultural values.
    2. End-to-End Recruitment Process

      • Manage the full recruitment cycle, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviews, and hiring.
      • Work closely with hiring managers across departments to understand talent needs and deliver on recruitment goals.
    3. Employer Branding and Candidate Experience

      • Champion watchTowr’s employer brand globally by promoting company values, culture, and career opportunities on relevant platforms.
      • Ensure a seamless and positive candidate experience through consistent communication and efficient processes.
    4. Agency and Vendor Management

      • Manage relationships with external recruitment agencies, ensuring high-quality delivery and cost-effectiveness.
      • Evaluate agency performance globally and make recommendations for improvements or new partnerships.
    5. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in Hiring

      • Implement recruitment best practices that promote diversity and inclusion across all regions.
      • Ensure fair and unbiased recruitment processes, aligning with watchTowr’s DEI objectives.
    6. Recruitment Data and Analytics

      • Track key recruitment metrics (time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, diversity metrics, etc.) to assess the effectiveness of recruitment strategies.
      • Provide regular reporting to senior management on global recruitment progress and challenges.

 

Sounds perfect to me, what specifics are you looking for?

Ideal Experience

  1. HR Management Experience (UK Focused):

    • 5+ years of experience in HR management within a UK-based entity, ideally in a fast-paced tech or startup environment.
    • Strong knowledge of UK employment law, compliance regulations, and HR best practices.
    • Demonstrated experience in handling the full employee lifecycle in the UK, including employee relations, performance management, and onboarding/offboarding processes.
    • Proven track record in developing and implementing HR policies and ensuring legal compliance in the UK.
  2. Global Recruitment Experience:

    • 5+ years of experience in recruitment, including global talent acquisition across multiple regions (experience hiring for tech roles is highly preferred).
    • Ability to lead end-to-end recruitment processes from job posting to onboarding, with a focus on both volume and niche hiring.
    • Experience with managing recruitment agency partnerships globally, including the evaluation and selection of external vendors.
    • Proven ability to build and execute global talent acquisition strategies, aligned with business growth and organisational culture.
  3. Tech Industry or Startup Experience:

    • Experience working in the technology sector or within a high-growth startup environment is highly desirable.
    • Understanding of the challenges of scaling recruitment efforts in a growing company, particularly within technical teams like software engineering, cybersecurity, and product development.
  4. Diversity and Inclusion Focus:

    • Strong experience in implementing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives within recruitment and HR processes, with a track record of fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
  5. Leadership and Collaboration:

    • Experience in partnering with senior leadership to align HR and recruitment strategies with overall business objectives.
    • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different regions and time zones (UK, USA, Singapore).
    • Experience in leading or mentoring HR/recruitment team members or managing external teams (e.g., recruiters or agencies).
  6. Data-Driven HR and Recruitment Approach:

    • Proficiency in using HRIS systems, ATS platforms, and data-driven recruitment tools to manage HR processes and recruitment pipelines (experience with LinkedIn Recruiter, Greenhouse, or similar tools would be a plus).
    • Ability to track and analyze HR and recruitment metrics to drive continuous improvement, identify trends, and report to senior leadership

Bonus Experience:

  • Experience with international HR practices or setting up HR functions in new locations would be a strong advantage.
  • Experience in remote or hybrid work environments, as this role requires managing teams and recruitment across multiple regions.
