We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development & Partnerships Specialist to drive the expansion of Wallapop’s Consumer Goods segment by identifying and capturing high-value business opportunities. You will generate and qualify leads, nurture strategic partnerships, and close deals that drive sustainable growth. With a strong customer-first mindset, you will use market intelligence and consumer insights to shape tailored proposals and foster long-term relationships. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, your role is critical in aligning commercial goals with Wallapop’s broader vision and values.
What You Will Do 👇
- Lead Generation & Sales Execution
- Source, qualify, and convert leads for our Professional sellers’ program.
- Build and customize sales materials, pitch decks, demos, etc. to share it with potential PRO sellers.
- Attend industry and networking events to get direct feedback from our target segment and generate qualified leads.
- Negotiation & Onboarding
- Negotiate collaboration conditions and contracts with our top-tier PRO sellers, including standards of quality service, commissions, duration of the contract, type of catalog, and others.
- Define and carry out onboarding sessions to ensure sellers clearly understand our solution and can promptly start operating with Wallapop.
- Partnership Management
- Be the main point of contact between top-tier PRO sellers and Wallapop, building and maintaining solid and long-term relationships with them.
- Regularly meet and interact with sellers to understand their needs and concerns and help them improve their experience in the marketplace and maximize their sales.
- Adapt offer depending on customer needs, upsell them with additional services and solutions, and renegotiate contracts if necessary.
- Ensure sellers comply with the terms and conditions of the contract and service agreements, notify them if they infringe them, and find and implement ways to correct them.
- Insights and Market Research
- Gather relevant data and insights from professional sellers and share it with Product, Tech, and Marketing teams so they can continuously adapt and improve our value proposition based on sellers’ needs.
- Stay informed on market trends and competition to support business decisions.
What We’re Looking For 🔎
- Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role.
- Entrepreneurial and self-driven operator with an ability to build business development strategy from scratch.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Exceptional project management skills.
Do note that all our jobs are 📍 Barcelona based. We follow a hybrid model where flexibility rules. We commit to a minimum of 6 days per month in the office. Each team self-organizes to decide on cadence and in-person/remote rituals.

What does the hiring process for this position look like? đź‘€
**Please, note that all interviews take place remotely over hangouts.**
1) Intro Call - run by talent acquisition, focus on providing more information about the role and the company as well as going over your experience, motivation, and expectations. This usually takes 45-60 minutes.
2) Task / Case Study Submission / Take-home test - you will be assigned a task to submit within 5 up to 7 days where you will be able to showcase your expertise / technical skills required for the role.
3) Expertise Interview - run by the hiring team, focus on the required core skills and the ability to deliver in a given context. This usually takes 60 minutes.
4) Stakeholder Interview - run by relevant stakeholders reflecting the reality of the context of the role, focus on the ability to collaborate & deliver in a cross-functional set-up. This usually takes 60 minutes.
5) Culture-Add Interview - run by culture interviewers, focus on adherence to Wallapop's purpose and business proposition. This usually takes 60 minutes.
