🧰 Who We Are
Wakam is a B2B2C digital insurer building white-label and embedded insurance solutions via our proprietary Play&Plug® platform for 80+ partners across Europe. We deliver products through APIs and operate fully in the cloud.
Active in 32 countries, we’re a European leader in digital and embedded insurance—and a mission-driven company committed to transparent, impactful insurance.
🚀 About the Role
Joining the Analytics Engineering team within the Data Office, you’ll build the end-to-end data foundations and Pigment planning models that power Wakam’s business planning. You’ll design and run data pipelines in Snowflake + dbt that feed robust, scalable models in Pigment—all within our Azure/Snowflake/dbt/Power BI/Metabase/Pigment ecosystem.
🎯 Your Mission
- Own the data → planning flow: Design, develop, and document transformations in Snowflake/dbt; pipe trusted data into Pigment models.
- Build planning at scale: Create and maintain forecasts, budgets, scenarios and driver-based models in Pigment.
- Partner with the business: Translate Finance/FP&A needs into data models (dbt) and planning models (Pigment); run workshops to define objectives, KPIs, and drivers.
- Enable & upskill: Train users, promote self-service planning, and provide ongoing model support.
- Ship with quality: Work Agile; slice user stories, estimate, support UAT; implement automated tests and CI/CD for reliable releases.
- Continuously improve: Propose enhancements to modelling standards, data quality, and planning processes.
🧠What You Bring
- 3+ years in analytics engineering, financial modelling, or FP&A with hands-on SQL/dbt and a planning platform (Pigment preferred; Anaplan/Adaptive a plus).
- Strong SQL and data-modeling skills; experience building production pipelines in Snowflake + dbt.
- Solid grasp of budgeting, forecasting, scenario modelling, IBP concepts.
- Ability to turn business requirements into sound data structures and planning models.
- Comfortable leading workshops, documenting logic, and training stakeholders.
- Bonus: Software practices (Git, clean code, automated testing) and DevOps exposure (CI/CD, IaC).
