🎯 Your Mission
As Senior Account Director – Nordics, your mission is to accelerate Wakam’s growth across the Nordics. You’ll identify, negotiate, and scale high-value distribution partnerships with brokers, MGAs, insurtechs, fintechs, retailers, mobility/e-commerce platforms, and marketplaces. You’ll champion Wakam’s embedded/B2B2C model and be the local face of our fast-to-market promise.
Your core responsibilities

Lead market growth: Own the commercial plan for the Nordics. Build a qualified pipeline, close strategic deals, and expand existing partnerships.

Build trusted partnerships: Understand partner ecosystems and craft tailored insurance solutions aligned to their customer journeys and operating models.

Coordinate internally: Work hand-in-hand with Underwriting, Pricing, Delivery, and Legal to co-design, launch, and scale programs at speed.

Drive sustainable profitability: Align opportunities with Wakam’s risk appetite; monitor technical results and profit-share, and steer corrective actions when needed.

Be Wakam’s voice in the region: Represent us at industry events, lead pitches, and elevate brand visibility as a tech-forward insurer.

Leverage innovation: Be AI-curious. Use CRM, automation, and analytics to sharpen targeting, proposals, and portfolio performance.
🧠 What You Bring
-
8+ years in account management / business development, including 3+ years in insurance (brokerage, MGA, insurtech/fintech, embedded or affinity programs).

Proven track record closing complex, multi-stakeholder partnerships and scaling them across one or more Nordic markets.

Deep understanding of B2B2C / embedded insurance and delegated authority models (bordereaux, technical results, profit-share).

Strong grasp of the Nordic regulatory environment (IDD/GDPR awareness; ability to work with local compliance/ops teams).

Excellent negotiation, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills (C-level to operational).

Fluent English and at least one Nordic language (Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, or Finnish).

Comfort with data-driven decision-making (CRM, dashboards) and interest in AI & automation to improve commercial effectiveness.
