🎯 Your Mission
As Senior Sales Director, your mission is to accelerate Wakam’s growth across key European markets, with a focus on regions where we aim to strengthen our presence — Southern, Central, or Western Europe, depending on your location and expertise.
You will identify and close high-value distribution partnerships, particularly with brokers, MGAs, fintechs, insurtechs, retailers, and digital marketplaces. You’ll represent Wakam’s modern vision of embedded and B2B2C insurance — and be the local face of our “fast-to-market” promise.
Your key responsibilities:

Drive Market Growth: Own business development across your designated European region. Identify leads, close strategic deals, and grow key partnerships.

Build Trusted Partnerships: Understand your partners’ ecosystems and craft tailored insurance solutions that meet their operational models and customer needs.

Collaborate Internally: Partner with Underwriting, Pricing, and Delivery teams to co-build and launch new products at speed.

Ensure Profitability: Align every deal with Wakam’s risk appetite and long-term business objectives — we prioritize quality and margin over volume.

Be Wakam’s Commercial Voice Locally: Represent the brand at industry events, pitch confidently, and strengthen our visibility as a tech-forward insurer.

Leverage Innovation: Be AI-curious. Use CRM systems, automation, and AI tools to streamline your lead pipeline and optimize commercial effectiveness.
đź§ What You Bring

8+ years of experience in commercial or business development roles, including 3+ years in insurance (brokerage, MGA, insurtech, fintech, or embedded insurance).

Deep knowledge of B2B2C or embedded insurance distribution models in a European context.

Proven track record of closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals.

Fluency in English is mandatory; fluency in an additional European language (e.g., French, Spanish, Italian, or German) is a strong asset.

Strong skills in negotiation, relationship management, and pitching.

Commercial acumen with a data- and profitability-driven mindset.
