✨About the Team
At Wakam, the Reinsurance team plays a critical role in protecting our business from large-scale risks and enabling profitable growth. By managing and optimising our reinsurance strategy, we support the company's long-term financial stability and expansion across 30+ countries.
We're now looking for a Reinsurance Transaction Manager to strengthen our team and help us secure and execute reinsurance deals effectively. This is a high-visibility role involving close collaboration with internal teams (Underwriting, Legal, Finance) and external reinsurer partners.
💼 Your Mission
As Reinsurance Transaction Manager, you will report to the Head of Reinsurance and support the negotiation, execution, and follow-up of reinsurance contracts. You’ll be a key contact point between Wakam and its reinsurance partners, contributing to both operational excellence and long-term partnership development.
Key Responsibilities
🤝 Reinsurance Negotiation & Relationship Management

Prepare internal presentations and briefs for reinsurance meetings, combining input from Underwriting, Finance, and other teams

Respond promptly to reinsurer requests and proactively identify ways to improve service quality and satisfaction

Collect market intelligence and reinsurer feedback to support marketing strategy and negotiation positioning
📄 Contract Execution & Monitoring

Review and advise on the compatibility of new business with existing treaties

Track and manage contractual obligations (e.g., claims notifications, special acceptances)

Coordinate the full treaty wording process, from drafting to execution

Conduct ongoing checks to ensure compliance with terms and limits
🧠 Your Profile

Degree in Insurance, Risk, Business, or Management

1–3 years of experience in reinsurance, insurance, or financial services, ideally in a fast-paced or international environment

Strong analytical and organisational skills

Clear communicator with strong interpersonal skills

Collaborative mindset — able to work effectively across teams

Comfortable working in English; French is a plus
