About the Team

The Underwriting and Claims team at Wakam is the backbone of our risk management and customer service. By leveraging internal data and industry insights, we make informed decisions to provide competitive and comprehensive insurance solutions. Our Claims team is equally vital, focusing on delivering efficient, customer-centric claims processing. Together, these teams ensure profitability, operational excellence, and the highest level of satisfaction for Wakam's clients across the UK and Europe.

Function Overview

As a Claims Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting our claims operations. You will ensure the smooth administration of claims processes, manage partner communications, and assist in driving operational efficiency. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage with cross-functional teams, contributing to projects that enhance the overall customer experience. You will be responsible for maintaining the quality and accuracy of our claims operations while supporting the UK team on day-to-day tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operational administration of UK partners, including organizing steering committees and implementing action plans.
  • Manage complaints, forward escalations to the appropriate departments, and handle all day-to-day claims administration tasks.
  • Maintain and organize the claims and complaints email inbox, ensuring timely responses and resolution.
  • Prepare data and reports for internal and external meetings, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide guidance and support to external partners, ensuring adherence to processes.
  • Complete meeting minutes for claims discussions and contribute to cross-functional projects.
  • Provide support across the UK team when required, ensuring smooth daily operations.

Experience & Key Skills

  • Experience in UK claims processes and procedures within an insurance company or TPA.
  • Proven background in claims or insurance administration with strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Office 365, including intermediate skills in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
