Product Manager - Volkswagen Passenger Cars

Volkswagen Passenger Cars (VWPC) is one of the most renowned automotive brands globally, with a rich history in Ireland as we celebrate our 75th anniversary in 2025. The brand continues to lead the BEV market in Ireland thanks to the ever-popular ID. range of vehicles. In addition to an expanded PHEV offering, 2025 also sees the introduction of the all-new Tayron to bolster the brand’s SUV range. Together with the Retailer Network and the headquarters in Germany, Volkswagen Ireland has significant ambition and plans for the future, with many exciting and innovative products planned for the coming years.
We are currently seeking a Product Manager to join the team. This is a key role that is primarily responsible for the management of a number of models within the Volkswagen range, focused on ensuring the optimal price and specification of vehicles for the Irish market, with consideration for the competitive environment. The Product Manager is a key interface between the OEM, internal departments within Volkswagen Group Ireland as well as the Retailer Network.
Main Responsibilities
- Defining the optimal price and specification of Volkswagen models for the Irish market in conjunction with the HQ in Wolfsburg, Germany
- Preparing product and price proposals (business cases) to support the introduction of new models and / or changes to the current offering in line with lifecycle management
- Analysing and monitoring price position of competitors and market developments
- Preparing product marketing materials including product guides and bulletins
- Setting up and maintaining up-to-date and accurate model data in relevant IT systems
- Supporting delivery of new product training in conjunction with Volkswagen trainers
Required Skills & Competencies
- Very strong attention to detail with an affinity for numbers – Maintaining accuracy and high quality of output at all times
- Strong decision-making skills – Reacting in a timely and effective way to any deviations to plan or process in a dynamic working environment
- Persuasive communication, negotiation and presentation skills – Prior experience working with and / or presenting to senior management is desirable
- High level of commercial awareness and knowledge of the Irish automotive industry – Prior industry experience particularly in a Product, Planning or Sales role is desirable
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a diverse, motivated team – Leading by example while also demonstrating ownership of responsibilities using own initiative
- Capable of managing multiple projects and tasks with competing deadlines and priorities – Adapting to workload demands effectively and efficiently
