McCoy Motors SEAT & CUPRA have operated in Lucan for over 45 years. Located at Exit 4A on the N4, Lucan, Co. Dublin. Our family-run operation is growing with our exciting brands SEAT & CUPRA. We are dedicated to providing exceptional service to our customers, and we are looking for a skilled High Voltage Expert to join our growing team.
Position Overview:
As a High Voltage Expert for CUPRA and SEAT vehicles, you will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and maintaining the high-voltage systems found in both electric and plug-in hybrid models. Your role will focus on cutting-edge e-mobility technology, including battery management systems, charging systems, and other high-voltage components specific to Volkswagen Group vehicles. You’ll ensure all work is done safely and efficiently while delivering superior service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain high-voltage electrical systems in CUPRA and SEAT vehicles, including electric and plug-in hybrid models.
- Work with advanced components such as battery packs, inverters, high-voltage wiring, and charging systems to ensure proper functionality.
- Ensure all maintenance and repairs meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards for high-voltage systems.
- Stay informed on the latest developments in CUPRA and SEAT electric mobility, including new technology and innovations within the brands.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols when handling high-voltage systems and components.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues in high-voltage systems, working closely with warranty and technical teams.
- Provide training and guidance to junior technicians on handling and servicing high-voltage systems in CUPRA and SEAT vehicles.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience with high-voltage electrical systems in the automotive industry, preferably in electric and hybrid vehicles.
- Specialized knowledge of Volkswagen Group vehicles, with an emphasis on their electric and plug-in hybrid models.
- Certification as a High Voltage Expert.
- Strong expertise in electric vehicle components such as battery management systems, high-voltage wiring, and powertrain systems.
- Proven experience diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing high-voltage systems in the Volkswagen Group service network.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose complex electrical issues efficiently.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with team members and customers.
- Ability to work independently and adhere to safety protocols.
- Experience using diagnostic tools and software specific to Volkswagen Group vehicles.
- Knowledge of future trends in electric mobility within the Volkswagen Group.
