The Role
As the VP of Service Delivery, you will play a key role in the executive team of Vertice, leading our global service delivery function. This is a pivotal position, where you will focus on operational excellence and delivering best-in-class procurement services for our customers. You will be responsible for leading and growing a high-performing team of 30+, delivering outstanding services to our global customer base, optimizing their SaaS procurement processes, and driving financial efficiencies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives that enhance the delivery of our procurement services, ensuring our offering is the leading service for finance and procurement teams globally.
- Build and lead a high-performing, multi-layered global team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, operational discipline, and professional growth.
- Oversee our global customer base, proactively managing escalated customer and vendor issues, ensuring seamless service delivery that aligns with Vertice's commitment to exceptional customer-centric service.
- Direct or support complex service engagements, managing key customer or vendor relationships to ensure the successful delivery of services and outcomes.
- Refine our recruitment strategy to balance delivering operational excellence with top-tier customer service, while driving value for our clients.
- Oversee and refine global service delivery strategies, adopting best practices that foster innovation and forward-thinking within the team.
- Collaborate with our Product and Customer Success teams to align service delivery and operational strategies with the evolving needs of our clients.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience, with 5+ years of experience in a senior leadership position in a fast-paced environment
- An operationally rigorous and inspiring leader with a track record of building and managing large multi-layered, diverse global teams in a demanding service delivery or professional services function.
- Extensive experience in delivering customer-centric services, ideally in a client-facing role within a professional services or service delivery leadership position.
- Strong relationship management and negotiation skills, with experience handling complex, high-value customer and vendor engagements.
- Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach; you lead by example and maintain a proactive involvement in operational activities.
- A culture driver who champions accountability; you are personally willing to commit to service-level targets and deadlines, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to delivering value for both the business and customers.
