Head of People

Vertice is a rapidly expanding technology company on a mission to help businesses manage their growing spend on SaaS and cloud. Businesses are turning to us to gain visibility and savings on their SaaS stack and cloud spend, taking advantage of pricing insights, trend data, smart dashboards and expert negotiators.

Founded by serial entrepreneurs, Roy and Eldar Tuvey, with a successful history of building SaaS startups, Vertice has already become one of the fastest growing vendors in the market. Following a remarkable 7x ARR growth in 2023, we have raised a total of $51 million to date, which will fuel global expansion and drive product innovation.

Weʼre well-positioned to achieve our mission but we need the right people to ensure that it happens - weʼre looking to scale quickly but responsibly. Headquartered in London, youʼll join a global company and work across talented, passionate cross-functional teams.

We all share a goal and a mission so we move fast, we challenge conventions and we're fluid between departments, domains and disciplines. We find it takes a certain type of person to thrive here - low ego, doesnʼt settle for the status quo, collaborative and has strong views loosely held. For the right person this could be the ride of a lifetime!

The role

Weʼre hiring a Head of People to lead & build our People team. The Head of People will be responsible for championing Verticeʼs high performance culture and enabling the team through practical frameworks & tools and hands-on partnering.

More specifically, youʼll do things like:

  • Own the overall strategy to create and lead the delivery of the People function
  • Enable your team of 4 brilliant recruiters to deliver an ambitious hiring strategy
  • Create conditions for 2 experienced HR specialists to support a growing business
  • Enable relatively inexperienced managers to develop and level up
  • Design best-in-class Onboarding processes for roles at all levels
  • Bring rigour and clarity to reward & recognition across functions
  • Be the voice of the team when Leadership draft key internal comms
  • Instil attention to results, driven by data, within the People function
  • Deliver irresistible in-office experiences globally (with our London Office Manager)

We know from experience how important it is for our Head of People to share our Foundersʼ values. Roy and Eldar prioritise to drive business outcomes - they want to own their unique style and for you to help codify their DNA & principles to apply them authentically across the company. To be clear: while a business-first mindset is critical, this isnʼt about falling in line, as you will be encouraged to challenge and elevate all decisions that impact the team.

About you
