Remote, United States

As the market leader in both data resilience and data security posture management, Veeam is built for the convergence of identity, data, security, and AI risk. Headquartered in Seattle with offices in more than 30 countries, Veeam protects over 550,000 customers worldwide, who trust Veeam to keep their businesses running. Join us as we go fearlessly forward together, growing, learning, and making a real impact for some of the world’s biggest brands.

About the Role

Veeam is evolving beyond data protection into a broader platform spanning data security, identity, and AI trust. We are looking for a Manager, AEO/SEO  to help lead the strategy, execution, and team responsible for organic discovery across traditional search, AI answer engines, and generative search experiences.

This person will play a key role in shaping how Veeam shows up across Google, AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot, Claude, and other emerging discovery platforms. The role requires a leader who can combine  enterprise SEO maturity, AI search strategy, technical depth, analytical rigor, and team leadership

This is a strategic and hands-on role. The right person will be able to translate strategy into clear execution plans, guide team priorities, partner closely with agency resources, support KPI development, and drive work across web, content, product marketing, comms, campaigns, analytics, and technical teams. The goal is to make Veeam more discoverable, more authoritative, more citable, and more recommended across the places where enterprise buyers now search, compare, and make decisions.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead SEO/AEO Strategy and Roadmap: Define and lead Veeam's global SEO, AEO, and AI search strategy — translating business priorities into measurable organic discovery programs across markets, personas, product lines, and buying stages; support roadmap development covering technical SEO, content optimization, AI answer visibility, entity authority, competitive share of voice, and always-on performance; partner with leadership to operationalize how SEO/AEO supports launches, campaigns, thought leadership, and web experiences.
  • Lead the Team and Manage Execution: Manage, coach, and develop the SEO/AEO team — setting priorities, assigning ownership, managing capacity, and creating clarity around roles and decision-making. Build repeatable frameworks and governance models for keyword strategy, prompt tracking, technical audits, content briefs, launch measurement, AI visibility reporting, and competitive monitoring. Manage agency and vendor relationships for strategic output; raise the standard of SEO/AEO work across Veeam by educating stakeholders and embedding best practices into content, web, and campaign planning.
  • Drive Technical SEO and Site Authority at Enterprise Scale: Own the technical SEO roadmap in partnership with Web, IT, UX, Engineering, Analytics, and Digital — prioritizing initiatives that improve crawlability, indexation, site speed, structured data, internal linking, information architecture, content discoverability, and conversion paths. Ensure Veeam's web ecosystem is built for both traditional search engines and AI-driven retrieval systems. Translate complex technical issues into business impact and secure cross-functional alignment for implementation.
  • Build Veeam's AI Search and Answer-Engine Discipline: Define how Veeam measures and improves visibility across AI search and answer engines — supporting prompt strategy and partnering with Marketing Ops on AI visibility tracking, answer sentiment, citation analysis, competitive monitoring, and recommendation-rate measurement. Identify where Veeam is missing, misrepresented, under-cited, or under-recommended in AI-generated answers; partner cross-functionally to strengthen the authority signals AI systems rely on. Ensure Veeam content is structured to be clear, extractable, evidence-led, and aligned to how enterprise buyers ask questions.
  • Connect Organic Discovery to Business Impact: Define and track KPIs across rankings, organic traffic, engagement, conversions, AI answer visibility, LLM recommendation rate, competitive share of voice, branded/non-branded discovery, and launch performance. Build performance narratives that help leadership understand what is working, where Veeam is under-indexing, and where additional focus is needed. Use data to influence content strategy, web priorities, campaign planning, and category narrative development.
  • Influence Across the Organization: Act as a strategic partner to Web, Product Marketing, Demand Gen, PR/Comms, Brand, Analytics, and regional teams — bringing a clear point of view on how buyer behavior is changing as search shifts from links to answers and recommendations. Help stakeholders understand that SEO/AEO is a technical, content, authority, and measurement discipline — not a publishing checklist. Represent SEO/AEO priorities in planning, launch readiness, QBRs, and executive and strategic business reviews

What You’ll Bring

  • 7–9+ years in SEO, technical SEO, organic growth, digital strategy, or search — with 3+ years managing direct reports, developing talent, setting team priorities, and leading through ambiguity; background in global B2B tech, SaaS, cybersecurity, cloud, infrastructure, data, or enterprise software preferred.
  • Strong technical SEO expertise across crawlability, indexation, rendering, structured data, site architecture, internal linking, redirects, canonicals, page speed, Core Web Vitals, international SEO, and enterprise CMS workflows.
  • Strong understanding of AEO, GEO, AI search visibility, LLM-driven discovery, AI Overviews, answer engines, citation analysis, prompt tracking, entity optimization, and structured content.
  • Proven ability to build SEO/AEO strategies that connect to business outcomes, not just traffic. Strong analytical skills and experience building dashboards, performance narratives, executive reporting, and KPI frameworks — with hands-on experience in seoClarity, GSC, GA4, Screaming Frog, Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI, AEM, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Skilled at influencing senior stakeholders and translating technical complexity into clear business recommendations; strong cross-functional leadership across content, web, product marketing, demand gen, PR, analytics, engineering, and agency partners.
  • Experience supporting global launches, enterprise campaigns, thought leadership programs, and large-scale web/content optimization initiatives.
  • Strategic, analytical, and operational mindset — able to connect big-picture direction to day-to-day execution in a fast-moving space where best practices are still evolving

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
