About the Role
We’re seeking a dynamic and technically savvy Sales Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll be the technical backbone of our sales process, helping Commercial and Enterprise clients understand, evaluate, and adopt our data protection solutions. You’ll deliver engaging presentations, consult on architecture, and collaborate across teams to ensure customer success.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver engaging customer presentations and demonstrations in both live and virtual settings.
- Collaborate with customers and partners to translate business objectives into technical requirements.
- Conduct remote configuration reviews with customers.
- Independently consult with customer base to provide technical expertise on data protection.
- Maintain close coordination with internal teams, including Support and Licensing.
- Collaborate closely with Product Management, offering valuable customer feedback.
- Manage accounts at a technical level to support upsell and cross-selling.
- Play a key role in delivering technical sales support for Commercial/Enterprise clients.
- Participate and support technical sales cycles for successful customer outcomes.
- Thrive in a fast-paced territory, continuously adapting to meet market and customer demands.
- Organize work efficiently, utilizing tools like Salesforce.com for processes, customer information, and technical notes.
- Work effectively and autonomously in a remote environment.
- Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills while establishing and maintaining strong business relationships.
- Provide necessary technical expertise and product support for our channel partners.
What You’ll Bring
- Preferred experience in solution sales, technical presales, post-sales, or technical support.
- Industry-based expertise in data protection technologies.
- Strongly desired experience in storage, networking, and cloud technologies.
- Proficiency in key technologies, including VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, AHV, RHV, Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft 365, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and other enterprise applications.
- Proven ability to work independently in dynamic environments, demonstrating high energy, motivation, and quick adaptability to new technologies.
- Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for clear communication.
- Strong adaptability to changing roles and responsibilities.
- Exceptional time management skills.
- Aptitude for fast learning
- Beneficial but not required: experience with Linux and containerization
- Willingness and capability to travel up to 25%.

The salary range posted is On Target Earnings (OTE), which is inclusive of base and variable pay. When making an offer of employment, Veeam will take into consideration the candidate’s expectations, experience, education, scope of responsibility for the role, and the current market demands.
United States of America Pay Range
$110,300 - $157,500 USD
