Senior Business Analyst, Data Protection

We are looking for a Business Analyst specializing in data protection regulations such as GDPR to analyze Veeam's internal systems and processes. In this pivotal role, you will join the Corporate Technology team and collaborate across technical and business functions to safeguard personal data while ensuring business objectives align with regulatory requirements.
Your tasks will include:
- Perform system process design working together with business stakeholders
- Interpret GDPR and other data protection regulations into functional and non-functional system requirements
- Define and document technical specifications for system compliance
- Support strategic roadmap, maintain development backlog for privacy-related features
- Conduct data protection impact and gap analyses between current and desired information systems states
- Design and validate system processes for data anonymization, retention, and consent management
- Collaborate with multiple teams (e.g. Marketing, Legal, HR, ITSM) to coordinate and prioritize changes with information systems and privacy-related processes
- Create system documentation and process diagrams for GDPR-related workflows and solutions
- Collaborate with multiple development teams, define tasks and drive cross-platform development
- Lead or support user acceptance testing (UAT) for privacy-related features
What we expect from you:
- Familiarity with GDPR, CCPA and other data protection frameworks
- Proficiency in UML / BPMN / flow diagrams / Use cases notations
- Experience with different data sources, including CRM systems like Salesforce, ITSM ServiceNow and SQL databases
- Strong background in requirements elicitation, stakeholder management, and process modeling
- Experience conducting data protection impact analysis and managing consent workflows
- Understanding system interoperability, data portability, and retention policies
- Experience with Agile (SCRUM), previous participation in agile projects
- Experience with Jira and Confluence
- Analytical mindset with attention to data privacy and regulatory details
- Degree in computer science, information systems, or relevant field
