This role, Telecom Engineer, will focus on supporting Veeam Infrastructure and sits in our Corporate Technology department.
This role is remote within the US, but we are prioritizing candidates based in Pacific time for team alignment.
Your tasks will include:
- Manage configurations, troubleshoot network issues, provision, and coordinate third-party system integrations
- Design network architecture to support company growth and changes
- Implement changes and configure networking equipment
- Handle support tickets, address user concerns, and troubleshoot network problems efficiently
- Maintain configuration backups, network diagrams, and documentation
- Work with vendors and service providers to ensure seamless operations
- Analyze system performance to ensure high availability and accessibility for users
- Proactively monitor the network using software tools to identify and address potential issues before outages occur
- Mentor and guide other engineers, providing technical support and fostering a collaborative learning environment
What We Expect from You:
- Extensive hands-on experience with Cisco enterprise-class routers, firewalls (ASA/vASA, NGFW, FirePower), switches, and wireless solutions
- Strong enterprise network design experience
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-level networking technologies, including:
- Routing protocols: BGP, EIGRP
- VPNs: IPSec (Site-to-Site, DMVPN, FlexVPN, AnyConnect)
- Fault tolerance: FHRP, Etherchannels, ASA/router failover, clustering
- Experience in Data Center Cisco environment design using Nexus technologies
- Experience with Cisco ISE (a big plus)
- Knowledge of Zscaler ZIA
Will be an advantage:
- Experience with network automation (Python, GitLab, Ansible)
- Knowledge of AWS networking, including VPC routing, security groups, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, and Terraform automation
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure networking (virtual networks, routing, peering, network security groups)
- Experience with monitoring and management tools (SolarWinds)
- Basic knowledge of Windows and Linux system administration
- Experience with VMware and virtualization technologies

The salary range posted is On Target Earnings (OTE), which is inclusive of base and variable pay. When making an offer of employment, Veeam will take into consideration the candidate’s expectations, experience, education, scope of responsibility for the role, and the current market demands.

$104,000 - $148,600 USD
