Job Summary: 

The Enterprise Architect is responsible for designing, documenting, and leading the implementation of technical solutions for customers following the sale of Veeam products. This role bridges customer business requirements with Veeam’s technology, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with best practices, while also supporting partner-driven implementations

The position involves technical leadership, customer consultation, and collaboration with internal teams to deliver successful outcomes—particularly for large enterprise customers undergoing digital transformation. 

Beyond direct design and delivery, the Enterprise Architect develops reference architectures and design guidelines that standardize deployments across both customer-led and partner-led projects. Additionally, they collaborate with pre-sales teams to ensure a smooth transition from initial solution design to implementation. 

Your tasks will include: 

Technical Discovery & Analysis 

  • Conduct technical discovery sessions with customers to assess their existing IT landscape and requirements. 
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and architecture enhancements based on Veeam solutions. 
  • Solution Design, Documentation & Reference Architectures 
  • Design both high-level and detailed solution architectures tailored to customer environments. 
  • Create low-level design documents and detailed technical specifications to guide implementation teams. 
  • Develop and maintain reference architectures to standardize solution deployments across both direct customer implementations and partner-led projects
  • Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design specifications, and implementation plans 
  • Ensure solution designs adhere to security, compliance, and scalability best practices

Project Definition & Estimation 

  • Work with Project Managers and stakeholders to define project scope, deliverable, timelines, and resource requirements. 
  • Provide level-of-effort estimations to support project planning and resource allocation

Implementation Support & Technical Leadership 

  • Provide technical oversight during solution deployment and post-sales implementation
  • Assist in proof-of-concept (PoC) projects and technical workshops to validate solution architectures. 
  • Support and guide partner-driven deployments, ensuring they follow Veeam’s best practices and technical standards
  • Support troubleshooting efforts and resolve complex implementation challenges

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement 

  • Work closely with Pre-Sales, Sales, and Customer Success teams to ensure a smooth handover from pre-sales engagements to deployment. 
  • Engage with customers, partners, and internal teams to ensure successful solution adoption. 
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor, translating business objectives into effective technical strategies
  • Communicate technical details effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders 

Continuous Improvement & Technology Innovation 

  • Evaluate emerging technologies (especially in containers, security, and hybrid cloud) to enhance solution architectures. 
  • Contribute to the development and update of internal best practices and technical standards. improving delivery efficiency and partner enablement

What we expect from you: 

  • IT experience, including in a solution architecture or technical leadership role
  • Deep expertise in data protection, backup & recovery, disaster recovery (DR), and cybersecurity
  • Hands-on experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes) and container security in enterprise environments. 
  • Strong technical knowledge of virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and storage systems
  • A record of leading transformation projects for large enterprise customers, ensuring technical solutions support business-wide digital evolution. 
  • Strong understanding of networking, security, compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, etc.), and IT governance. 
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills with a strong ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience working in a post-sales consulting, professional services, or solution delivery role with direct customer engagement 

Required Certifications 

  • Relevant certifications in cloud, security, or virtualization, such as: 
    • AWS/Azure Solutions Architect 
    • VMware VCP 
    • CISSP (Cybersecurity Certification) 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • TOGAF (or equivalent enterprise architecture certification)
  • Veeam VMCE
  • Experience with automation & scripting (PowerShell, Python)
  • Familiarity with large-scale IT infrastructure deployments
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and drive innovation
  • Strong Database skills including Database administration expertise will be preferred.   

Work Environment 

This role involves: 

  • Frequent collaboration with internal teams (Professional Services, Pre-Sales, Sales, Partners). 
  • Customer and partner engagement, ensuring alignment between business objectives and technical solutions. 
  • Potential travel to support global enterprise deployments
