The Senior Director of Deal Operations is responsible for leading our commercial processes and supporting teams, with a strong emphasis on price book management and the quote-to-cash operations. This role will be pivotal in driving efficiency, governance, and scalable solutions, working closely with cross-functional teams within Finance, Sales, and Operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building high-performing teams, managing large-scale projects, and enhancing deal optimization and governance.
Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing commercial operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence during transition to a new operating model.
- Price Book Management: maintain comprehensive price books, ensuring alignment with market trends, competitive positioning, and sustainable processes with channel partners.
- Quote-to-Cash Process: Oversee the end-to-end quote-to-cash process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance throughout the customer lifecycle. Specific background in a SaaS and/or subscription software is a bonus.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Finance, Sales, and Operations teams to ensure alignment on pricing strategies, deal structures, and revenue recognition policies.
- Deal Desk Management: Lead the deal desk function to optimize complex deals, ensuring governance and alignment with company policies while maximizing profitability.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements within the quote-to-cash cycle, implementing best practices to drive efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Project Management: Oversee large-scale projects within commercial operations, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budgetary constraints, and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with senior leadership and key stakeholders regarding commercial operations performance, challenges, and strategic opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Proven experience in managing price books and the quote-to-cash process, with a strong understanding of revenue recognition principles.
- Experience with Salesforce Quoting and Revenue Lifecycle Management tools
- Strong knowledge of deal optimization, discounting strategies, and pricing governance.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Exceptional project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders across all levels of the organization.

The salary range posted is On Target Earnings (OTE), which is inclusive of base and variable pay. When making an offer of employment, Veeam will take into consideration the candidate’s expectations, experience, education, scope of responsibility for the role, and the current market demands.
United States of America Pay Range
$217,400 - $310,600 USD
