About this role

Kasten, Veeam's Kubernetes-native data protection platform, represents a massive growth opportunity in cloud-native infrastructure protection. We're seeking an exceptional leader to build and drive our Americas sales organization forward.  

You'll head the regional specialist sales team, directly impacting Veeam's expansion in the fast-growing Kubernetes data protection market. Reporting to the Global Sales Leader for Incubation Workloads, you'll oversee both field-based Enterprise Sales Specialists and an Inside Sales team who drive new customer acquisition, expand existing relationships, and execute cross-product opportunities. Your team will lead complex deals, build deep customer relationships, and establish Kasten as the preferred Kubernetes backup solution across the Americas. 

What you’ll do

  • Build and lead a high-performing Americas specialist sales team 
  • Achieve regional revenue targets for Kasten 
  • Develop comprehensive territory plans and execute New, Expand, and Cross-sell strategies 
  • Own forecast accuracy, pipeline development, and deal qualification with rigor and discipline 
  • Partner with Solution Engineering, Product, and Marketing to maximize sales effectiveness and competitive positioning 

Day-to-Day Impact 

  • Drive sales fundamentals: pipeline coverage, deal qualification, win rates, and forecast accuracy 
  • Provide weekly forecasts with detailed deal analysis and rigorous qualification 
  • Ensure strategic and high-value deals have the appropriate pursuit strategies and organizational alignment 
  • Develop talent through coaching, mentoring, and enablement 
  • Engage directly with strategic customers and complex enterprise deals 
  • Lead regular business reviews with regional sales teams 
  • Represent Kasten at industry events to build brand awareness and generate pipeline 
  • Partner cross-functionally with engineering, product, and deal operations teams on major deals 

 

What you’ll Bring

  • 10+ years enterprise software sales experience with demonstrated technical depth, and/or 5+ years of front-line sales management  
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate both field and inside sales teams 
  • Track record of building and scaling sales organizations while consistently exceeding revenue targets 
  • Demonstrated success managing complex, multi-stakeholder deals with long sales cycles 
  • Strong technical foundation with the ability to engage on infrastructure and cloud-native topics 
  • Experience in a combined field and inside sales operating model 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills 
  • Strategic thinking combined with strong operational execution 
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% within the Americas region 

 Preferred qualifications include:  

  • Experience selling to or supporting Kubernetes and cloud-native infrastructure environments 
  • Background selling to enterprise customers in DevOps, IT Operations, or Infrastructure teams 
  • Experience with direct and channel-based go-to-market models 
  • Previous leadership experience in a scaling startup or high-growth environment

Compensation Transparency

Veeam is committed to pay transparency and equitable compensation. For this role, the compensation range below reflects the expected total target compensation (TTC), inclusive of base pay and a competitive performance-based bonus. For roles with a commission plan, the compensation range represents On Target Earnings (OTE), which includes base salary plus variable commission. When determining compensation, Veeam takes into consideration factors such as experience, education, skills, and geographic zone. Offers are typically made below the midpoint of the range.

In addition to compensation, Veeam provides a comprehensive benefits package, including health coverage, retirement plans, and unlimited time off.

$337,500 - $701,000 USD

Zone 2: Washington, California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area)

$309,400 - $642,600 USD

Zone 3: Texas, Illinois, North Carolina, Colorado, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Oregon, Nevada, Hawaii, New York (excluding NYC boroughs); Sales roles located in Georgia, Ohio, and Arizona

$281,300 - $584,200 USD

Zone 4: All other US locations

$244,700 - $508,200 USD
