The Channel Business Developer, Renewals sales position is a high visibility role whose core competencies include excellent communication skills, strong customer relationship management skills, strong negotiation skills & account strategy. The CBD is responsible for maintainig a high level of partner satisfaction by successfully leveraging Veeam’s solutions that help drive higher renewal rates, additional upsell/cross-sell opportunities shaping the customer’s journey with Veeam.  

Your tasks will include: 

  • Work to improve partner renewal rates through partner relationships, providing education on the benefits of Veeam renewals. 
  • Quantitatively monitors and qualitatively reviews Veeam partners that have been targeted for improvement, specifically for renewals sales. 
  • Interacts and collaborates regularly with external partners (distribution, resellers) and internally with the Veeam sales and marketing teams. 
  • Handles partner inquiries by explaining the provisions and benefits of proposed plans; renewals programs, promotions, up-sells, cross-sells, and product upgrades. 
  • Actively pursues lapsed customers through channel partners to sell reinstated products.
  • Ability to handle 90% of escalations independently.
  • Tracks renewal rates and other metrics for partners and communicates these findings to partners and partner managers, presenting strategies for improvement and ROI.
  • Tracks trending partner data to seek out obstacles, works with partners on strategies to overcome these obstacles, and maximize partnership value, while positioning opportunities for growth.
  • Generates regular reports and assures that contracts contain appropriate terms and conditions for maintenance renewals selected by the partner.
  • Assists in continued development of channel programs for renewals.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What we expect from you:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred (A combination of education and experience will be considered)
  • Previous experience in renewals sales (1 year minimum) and collaborating with partners and distributors in a two-tier distribution model is a plus
  • Advanced English
  • Advanced German
  • Knowledge of virtualization industry and the ability to relay information to potential customers 
  • Proficiency in MSOffice based automation tools (Excel, Outlook, etc) 
  • Knowledge of Salesforce.com  
  • IT knowledge - Strong interest and passion for technology innovation and the industry
