Veeam is currently looking for a Tech/SecOps Engineer to join the Coveware team.
Coveware is a rapidly growing, fully distributed company, with employees across the US. Coveware is a category defining cyber extortion incident response firm that empowers victims of cyber extortion to recover their data with transparency, efficiency and integrity. Ransomware identification, negotiation, cryptocurrency payment and decryption services are bundled together to collect and share data with victims in a similar situation. The data collection and recovery is enabled by the development of both proprietary and open-source software with the goal of enabling and empowering victims of cyber extortion, regardless of their technical ability or budget.
Our team consists of dynamic and motivated individuals with collective and shared experiences throughout financial technology, product and software development, business continuity, law-enforcement and cyber security.
Who you are: You have proven expertise in understanding and resolving technical challenges. You have proven your expertise in developing, owning, and scaling software products in a production environment. You are self-motivated and curious about developing technologies that assist cyber incident response. You are passionate about building and delivering world class products and services to victims of cyber extortion
Your tasks will include:
- Participate in internal security audit and review exercises to help ensure Coveware security policy and best practices are aligned
- Configure and manage endpoint monitoring and management leveraging MDM tools.
- Manage existing Azure VM infrastructure and implement functional enhancements to support internal testing and development.
- Support deployment and use of employee hardware and application deployment as well as troubleshoot end user issues for approximately 35+ users.
- Assist and manage employee hardware, application deployment, and technical issues
- Participate in design and development efforts of backend security engineering tools.
What we expect from you:
- 2-4 years experience managing at scale and developing production quality applications on top of cloud infrastructure
- 2-4 years experience working with on-site and remote teams in the development and delivery of software products and services
- Understanding of fundamental object oriented design patterns
- Proven history of code documentation and uniform coding practices
- Excellent written / verbal communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to operate in dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Flexible attitude with the ability to work both independently and in a team setting
- Experience in Python, Batch, Bash or PowerShell
Will be an advantage:
- Security engineering degree and/or certifications
- Terraform
- MacOS, Windows, Linux MDM management
- Experience working in mid to large size companies managing 100s to 1000s of devices.

The salary range posted is On Target Earnings (OTE), which is inclusive of base and variable pay. When making an offer of employment, Veeam will take into consideration the candidate’s expectations, experience, education, scope of responsibility for the role, and the current market demands.
United States of America Pay Range
$104,700 - $149,600 USD
