About this role
The Team Leader is responsible for managing Inside Sales team to execute on a sales strategy to meet/exceed sales quota for a given territory through setting business goals and managing the performance of Individual Contributors. Team Leader is also responsible for career planning and development of team members.
What you'll do
- Hiring and onboarding of new team members.
- Executing on a sales strategy to meet/exceed regional and team revenue targets, setting role-based targets, conducting performance management and ensure that the team meets their roles- based KPI’s.
- Ensure that the sales plan is aligned with and supports the corporate revenue goals.
- Collaborating with Segment Leaders on territory planning and execution.
- Ensure Veeam Core Values are being carried out by all employees on the team.
- Ensure the team is adequately staffed at any given point in time to accommodate the work load on all assigned territories.
- Work with internal training team to ensure proper onboarding and training for all employees on the team (assessment on the process and knowledge possessed by the new hires).
- Coordinate sales activities, develop and mentor staff to drive performance and career development.
- Conduct regular one to one meetings with team members to provide them constructive feedback on their performance.
- Facilitate problem solving and collaboration.
- Keep direct and upper management updated with any challenges/issues affecting the work.
- Conduct regular pipe-line reviews and provide an accurate forecast against the quarterly sales quota.
- Making sure the team is using the Veeam CRM system (Salesforce.com) on a regular basis and log all the activities and updates in the tool.
- Participate in management meetings and take responsibility for sales improvement initiatives and other assigned actions.
- Maintaining and promoting a successful and positive work environment.
What you'll Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree required (a combination of education and experience will be considered).
- Business-to-business (B2B) sales experience of high-tech products/services .
- Experience in people/team management.
- Self-education on sales and technical related matters.
- Ability to work well with all levels of the organization in a matrix style organization.
- Good coaching and mentoring skills.
- Able to speak to both decision-makers and junior staff in a tactful and sensitive manner.
- Capacity for innovative thinking and problem-solving.
- Good communication skills.
