The role  

Valtech is looking for a Senior Flutter Developer to help design and build high-quality, scalable mobile and web applications using Flutter. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to bring modern, responsive digital experiences to life. As a senior developer, you’ll be expected to take ownership of features from concept to deployment, contribute to architectural decisions, ensure code quality, and mentor junior team members. Your expertise will help elevate engineering practices and strengthen Flutter adoption across projects.

Role responsibilities

• Develop cross-platform applications using Flutter for Android/iOS
• Translate product requirements and UI designs into fully functional features
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code following best practices
• Participate in code reviews, offer constructive feedback, and support team learning
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to create seamless user experiences
• Integrate apps with backend APIs and services
• Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues
• Stay current with Flutter/Dart ecosystem updates and suggest improvements

 

Must have qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications: 

• 5+ years of total software development experience
• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience with Flutter and Dart
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and modern development practices
• Experience writing unit and integration tests
• Familiarity with state management solutions (e.g., Riverpod, BLoC, Provider)
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and handling asynchronous data flows
• Understanding of responsive UI principles and mobile design guidelines
• Solid knowledge of Git and CI/CD workflows
• Experience with local storage (e.g., Hive, SQLite) and performance optimization
• Knowledge of architectural patterns (MVVM, Clean Architecture, etc.)
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and cross-functional team collaboration
