As a Director of Content, Brand Editorial, you are passionate about experience innovation and eager to push the boundaries of what’s possible. You bring 10 years of experience, a growth mindset, and a drive to make a lasting impact. To lead the execution, quality and consistency of our B2B content across channels. You will oversee day-to-day editorial operations while partnering closely with content strategy, marketing, and subject matter experts. This role is for someone who can own editorial standards, manage contributors and translate complex B2B topics into clear, compelling narratives.

For Québec-based positions, the position requires proficiency in English, as the role involves regular communication with clients and colleagues located outside of Québec.

Role responsibilities

Editorial Leadership  

  • Setting the editorial vision and roadmap for Valtech’s branded content such as magazines, thought leadership, other long-form content initiatives, and branded flagship assets. 
  • Driving the creation of high-quality, thought-provoking stories that elevate Valtech’s position in digital transformation, innovation, and experience design. 
  • Managing the full editorial lifecycle—from ideation and commissioning through editing, production, and distribution—across print, digital, and audio. 
  • Produce high quality content across multiple channels 
  • Building strong relationships with internal subject matter experts, clients, and external contributors to source diverse and compelling perspectives. 
  • Upholding editorial standards, quality benchmarks, and ethical guidelines that ensure credibility and impact. 

Content Marketing 

  • Defining and tracking KPIs for branded content performance (e.g., readership, listenership, engagement, lead generation). 
  • Using SEO insights, market research, and analytics to refine and evolve Valtech’s content strategy. 
  • Establishing best practices for multi-format content creation, distribution, repurposing, and syndication, ensuring Valtech’s stories reach global audiences across channels. 

Must have qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications: 

  • Strong background in B2B content marketing, ideally in tech, consulting, or digital transformation industries. 
  • Experience writing and editing long form, high stakes B2B content including industry reports, DEI reports, annual reports and executive facing publications 
  • 8+ years in professional writing, editing, or content production, with experience in long-form editorial and audio storytelling. 
  • Proven track record in building and managing branded content, such as magazines, podcasts, reports or editorial platforms that engage global audiences. 
  • Ability to craft compelling narratives across formats—articles, interviews, thought leadership, podcasts, and multimedia campaigns. 
  • Experience with global content strategy: tailoring brand stories for regional markets while maintaining consistency. 
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple editorial and production projects in parallel. 
  • Excellent stakeholder management, with the ability to collaborate across disciplines and present strategic content visions to senior leadership. 
  • A data-driven approach to content, balancing creative excellence with measurable impact.

The benefits  

This is a Full time position based in provinces of Ontario and Québec. The offered salary range is $125,000 to $155,000 CAD annually, depending on experience and location. 

Valtech offers a comprehensive benefits package effective after three months of continuous service:

  • A comprehensive insurance plan, where you can choose the module that best suits your needs—Gold, Silver, or Bronze. The employer may contribute up to 80% of your coverage depending on the selected module. This plan includes short- and long-term disability coverage.
  • Dialogue via Sun Life provides virtual healthcare services, allowing you to consult with a healthcare professional for emergencies, prescription renewals, and more. You also have access to the Employee and Family Assistance Program, as well as a complete mental health support program.
  • A $500 Personal Spending Account, which can be used for healthcare reimbursements, gym memberships, public transit passes, office supplies, or contributions to your RRSP through Valtech.
  • A retirement plan where Valtech will match 100% of your RRSP contributions through a Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP), up to a maximum of 4%. You can start contributing to your RRSP immediately, and to the DPSP after 3 months. The vesting of the DPSP will be after a 24 months of service. 
  • Access to a flexible vacation under Valtech's policy to support your work-life balance, with 5 days available during your probation period and a prorated amount calculated for the remainder of the year.
  • Personal Technology Reimbursement – $30/month for every employee-offered on day 1. 
  • We close during the winter holidays and offer flexible scheduling throughout the year, so you can enjoy those sunny Friday afternoons—provided your weekly hours are completed.
