The role
As a Business Development Executive, you are passionate about experience innovation and eager to push the boundaries of what’s possible. You bring over 7 years of experience, a growth mindset, and a drive to make a lasting impact. We’re looking for an ambitious sales professional with a hunter mindset, eager to open doors, build relationships, and close transformational deals, particularly within our Salesforce business. To be successful in this role, you must know the agency and platform integration landscape because you've lived it for years. You can articulate the value of Salesforce-led digital transformation to a B2B or B2C client in 50 words or less, and most importantly, as a digital native, you can translate Salesforce trends, product evolutions, and business cases into actionable insights that C-level executives can understand, value, and buy.
Your job is to know the market, identify and pursue new Salesforce business opportunities, and build relationships with potential clients. You know the value of customized, consultative selling over autopilot sales approaches with generic slide decks. You’re comfortable positioning a full-service offering that spans strategy, implementation, managed services, and innovation across the Salesforce ecosystem.
You’ll be passionate about how Salesforce solutions, such as Sales, Service, Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, Experience Cloud, and industry-specific products can drive growth and customer engagement. Furthermore, you’ll lead and inspire a results-driven sales team, driving a lean, effective, end-to-end sales process in close collaboration with marketing and delivery leaders.
You’ll be part of the Valtech team and play a key role within the wider Americas team. As an integral part of the sales team, you’ll own the responsibility for driving net-new Salesforce revenue to our business. You must be both a leader and a deal-closer, and that means you also understand the fine act of balancing risks when bidding for new business. You’ll leverage Valtech’s global Salesforce partnerships and delivery network to enhance your business development efforts and maximize impact.
And the showstopper: you’re a hunter at heart, living and breathing the Salesforce ecosystem. You’ve thrived in digital agencies or consultancies, designing and selling Salesforce-based solutions, leading with a consultative approach, and evangelizing the business value of platform-enabled digital transformation. Role responsibilities
- Prospect, pitch, and win new Salesforce business across B2B and B2C industries, translating Valtech’s capabilities into compelling value propositions for C-suite and VP-level executives.
- Drive net new business by selling Salesforce-led transformation programs
- Engage C-suite stakeholders to position Salesforce’s full suite: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, Experience Cloud, and vertical solutions
- Own the full sales cycle from prospecting and qualification to proposal and close
- Develop strategic account plans with support from Salesforce and internal teams
- Consistently deliver on sales and pipeline targets
- Represent Valtech at key Salesforce and industry events
- Sell Salesforce services, not products, including strategy, implementation, integration, and managed services across all core Salesforce Clouds (Sales, Service, Experience, Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, etc.)
- Drive pipeline development in close partnership with Salesforce, Valtech’s Global Marketing team, and our Partner Alliance teams.
- Lead the presales process, including RFP responses, win strategy creation, and engagement of Solution Engineers, Delivery Leads, and Partner Executives.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with Salesforce account executives and alliance teams in your region.
- Represent Valtech at relevant Salesforce events, partner forums, and industry conferences.
- Accurately forecast pipeline, revenue, and opportunities on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
- Stay current on Salesforce product innovations and how they connect to client verticals such as Retail, Financial Services, CPG, B2B, and Healthcare.
- Serve as a thought leader internally and externally, shaping how Valtech brings Salesforce-led transformation to market.
Must have qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in business development within digital agencies or technology services firms, with at least 5+ years focused on Salesforce solutions.
- Bring a consultative, value-based selling approach with credibility at the executive level
- Have experience with complex, multi-stakeholder deals and long sales cycles
- Work well in a fast-paced, collaborative global environment
- Are driven, strategic, and comfortable owning your number
- Deep understanding of the Salesforce ecosystem, cloud offerings, and value propositions.
- Proven expertise in building and closing multi-year, seven-figure Salesforce deals.
- Strong relationships within Salesforce’s go-to-market organization is a strong plus.
- Experience with vertical-based selling and consultative solutioning.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and global delivery hubs.
- Demonstrable success managing a sales process end-to-end from qualification to contract close.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with a team-first mentality.
- Self-starter with a high degree of initiative and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
