Head of Finance

Copenhagen

We are seeking an experienced Head of Finance to lead operational finance and lead the high-performing finance function of United Fintech. Based in our centrally located Copenhagen office and reporting to the COO, this critical role will ensure the integrity of financial data, drive strategic financial planning, and oversee seamless integration of acquisitions within our rapidly growing group.

As the Head of Finance, you will centralise and optimise financial processes, establish robust reporting frameworks, and develop scalable systems to support our growth. Acting as a "local CFO" for acquired companies, you will drive budget processes, foster strong partnerships with local C-level teams, and align operations with group objectives.

The role requires building trust with stakeholders (board, group, and portfolio companies), delivering unified reporting, and successfully integrating acquisitions. You will develop scalable financial processes, revamp KPIs, and co-develop a new IT Finance roadmap to drive innovation and transparency.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership

  • Build and develop the finance team, including recruitment, coaching, and succession planning.

 

Reporting & Controlling

  • Create accurate internal reports for decision-making.
  • Oversee seamless financial consolidation and monitor KPIs.
  • Collaborate with auditors on audits of annual statutory reporting.

 

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Improve financial forecasting processes.
  • Align budgeting with organisational goals and commercial needs.

 

Finance Business Partnering

  • Provide actionable insights and reports to management and the board.
  • Collaborate to ensure financial planning supports business priorities.

 

M&A Integration

  • Standardise processes across acquisitions, ensuring scalability and automation.
  • Conduct goodwill calculations and reporting.
  • Optimise financial operations for efficiency.

 

Strategic Projects

  • Collaborate with the COO to enhance central finance platforms.
  • Lead or contribute to ad-hoc financial projects as needed.

 

Role Requirements

Education & Experience:
Relevant master’s degree and proven track-record in a finance function, especially in growth-focused organisations.

 

Expertise:
Integration and development of finance processes, KPIs, and reporting; experience with system implementation/migration.

 

Preferred skills (serves as a plus, not a must):

SaaS; acquisitive growth; cross-border collaboration; Experience with UK GAAP

 

Attributes:
Results-oriented, strong communication skills, excellent planning abilities, and a commercial, analytical mindset.
