We're looking for an experienced Assistant Pharmacist in Charge to support our Pharmacy Operations Department. 
 
As the Assistant Pharmacist in Charge, you will play a vital role in supporting our Pharmacy Operations department. You will partner closely with the Pharmacist in Charge ensuring adherence to quality, regulatory, and efficiency standards while prioritizing patient safety and confidentiality.

  • You will drive continuous improvement and efficiencies in production planning and team development.
  • You will oversee prescription processing activities and workflow in a fast-paced, closed-door pharmacy.
  • You will ensure staff receives training on process changes to maintain quality, regulatory, and efficiency standards.
  • You will verify prescriptions, monitor patient profiles, and check orders for clinical red flags.
  • You will assist patients with consultations and prioritize patient safety in decision-making.
  • You will manage and work collaboratively with a large team to fulfill orders efficiently and accurately.
  • You will promptly address client and patient inquiries and assist with phone calls.
  • You will establish metrics, reports, and dashboards to track performance against improvement targets.

 

We're excited about you because...

 

  • You have a clear, active, unrestricted license to practice Pharmacy in your state of residence.
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Pharm D degree.
  • You have a minimum 2 years of experience as a licensed pharmacist.
  • You have 1 year experience in a supervisory role (preferred).
  • You are in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy.
  • You are proficient in pharmacy law, policies, and procedures.
  • You demonstrate effective communication skills and strong teamwork abilities.
  • You possess extensive knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations.
  • You have experience in building and managing pharmacy teams.
  • You are willing to work varying schedules and manage high-volume pharmacy operations.
  • You have past experience in the hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluation of pharmacy team members.
  • You are willing and able to obtain additional state licenses, as required by the company.

 

The salary range for this position is $135,000-$145,000.
