About Triple Point Specialty Finance:
Triple Point Specialty Finance plays an important role in providing liquidity and capital to the UK non-bank lending market that might otherwise be underserved. This role is responsible for originating and structuring asset-backed facilities, providing financing to UK-based specialist lenders that originate the underlying loans. This would be a good opportunity for someone from a FIG or NBFI background to join a fast-growing speciality finance team.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Transaction Delivery: Structure and lead the end-to-end delivery of new money debt transactions, for both new and existing Triple Point borrowers.
- Meetings and Presentations: Arrange and lead meetings with management teams of new and existing borrowers as required. Lead presentations to Credit Committees for all matters relating to transactions.
- Analysis and Monitoring: Analyse financials, loan portfolio and borrowing base information to identify, communicate, and challenge early warning signs. Ensure that Triple Point internal risk and portfolio reporting is maintained to a high standard.
- Market Knowledge: Current knowledge of the UK Specialty Finance and Asset Backed finance markets, including debt products, competitors, LMA, pricing and opportunity.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Specialty Finance Experience: 7+ years of experience in lending and loan documentation within a bank on non-bank environment. Prior experience in Specialty Finance (minimum 3+ years), or similar fields such as capital markets or securitisation is essential. With a particular focus on asset backed financing.
- Financial Analysis: Ability to read and analyse company financial accounts, management information and financial forecasts.
- Credit Applications: Experience in preparing and presenting detailed credit applications for new money transactions, preferably from a front office debt origination/structuring role.
- Financial Analysis & Modelling: Proficiency with Excel for analysing financial models, loan tapes, financial statements. Including sensitivity analysis and portfolio wind down scenarios.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills. The role will include presenting applications to Investment Committee and managing workflows of multiple external parties (i.e. borrowers, legal)
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Education: To a degree level, preferably supported by a professional qualification in accountancy, banking or risk management.
- Excel Proficiency: Essential for the role.
