About the Role
We are seeking Market Data Operations Analysts to join our Modernization & Enablement department.
These roles are central to a strategic program to migrate clients from InfoMatch (IM) to Optimize Spend, ensuring a seamless transition that preserves business continuity and client satisfaction.
You will act as the operational bridge between clients and the technical migration team - leading discovery sessions, identifying requirements and automated workflows, and validating that all client functionality is faithfully reproduced within Optimize Spend.
Client Discovery & Requirements Gathering
- Lead structured kick-off sessions with InfoMatch clients to understand their current usage, workflows, and business dependencies.
- Analyze and document how each client uses InfoMatch, capturing any unique configurations, custom setups, or non-standard usage patterns.
- Identify and catalogue all automated processes, scheduled jobs, or system integrations that clients have built into InfoMatch.
- Elicit and document client reporting requirements, including custom reports, data exports, dashboards, and downstream data feeds.
- Assess the scope and complexity of each client migration and escalate any high-risk or non-standard requirements appropriately.
Migration Collaboration
- Work closely with the technical migration team and project manager to ensure all discovery findings are accurately captured and prioritized within the migration plan.
- Translate business and operational requirements from discovery into clear, actionable technical specifications for the technical migration team.
- Participate in migration planning sessions to validate that client-specific items - including automated processes, integrations, and reporting - are accounted for within the technical database migration to Optimize Spend.
- Maintain up-to-date discovery documentation and requirement logs throughout the migration lifecycle.
- Serve as the operational point of contact for clients during the migration, managing expectations and communicating progress.
Functional Testing & Validation
- Design and execute functional test plans for Optimize Spend following the completion of each client's database migration.
- Validate that all migrated functionality - including automated processes, reporting, data outputs, and client-specific configurations - operates correctly within Optimize Spend.
- Document test results, identify defects or gaps, and work with the technical team to resolve issues prior to client sign-off.
- Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) walkthroughs with clients to confirm that their requirements have been met.
- Track and manage defect resolution through to closure, ensuring no outstanding items at the point of go-live.
Skills & Experience
Required
**This role is a contract/temporary role with a duration of 18+ months and the potential for extension.**
- 2-5 years of experience in a market data operations, data management, or financial data analyst role.
- Demonstrable experience conducting client-facing discovery sessions, requirements gathering, or business analysis.
- Strong understanding of market data products, reference data, or financial data platforms (experience with InfoMatch or similar systems is advantageous).
- Proven ability to identify, document, and communicate complex operational and technical requirements clearly.
- Experience with functional testing, UAT, or quality assurance within a data or software migration context.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with confidence engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple concurrent client workstreams.
Desirable
- Familiarity with Optimize Spend or comparable market data spend management platforms.
- Experience working within large-scale data migration or system modernization programs.
- Understanding of automated data workflows, API integrations, or scheduled reporting pipelines.
- Exposure to project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
