⌘ About The Role

We are looking for a Senior Lifecycle Manager to own and build our end-to-end lifecycle programme across email, push, SMS and in-app. Timeleft has a massive untapped ceiling on turning signups into paying subscribers, holding the subscribers we have, and bringing back the ones who slipped away. Millions of users, high interaction, real product love. What we need is someone who can turn all that into compounding value.

This is a full-stack role for someone who thinks strategically and ships operationally. You won't just run campaigns. You'll build the capabilities that make lifecycle smarter over time: moving from static communications and hard-coded flows toward predictive, personalised and eventually AI-driven decisioning. You build the strategy, run the programme in Customer.io, and partner deeply with Product on retention. Retention is not a messaging problem alone. It lives in the product experience. Reports directly to the VP Data.

⌘ Key Responsibilities

Own the lifecycle programme end to end. Email, push, SMS, in-app
Own activation: turn signups into paying subscribers. This is where the biggest number sits and where the programme starts
Own retention through close partnership with Product. Hold the paying subscribers we have. Retention lives in the product experience as much as in the notification. Product is your primary partner
Own reactivation: bring dormant subscribers back
Build lifecycle capabilities, not just campaigns. Personalisation, dynamic journeys, and next-best-action logic that move beyond hard-coded flows
Define and drive the lifecycle maturity roadmap: from campaign management and optimisation, through predictive optimisation and next best action
Shape the lifecycle system with Data and Product: data foundation, segmentation, triggers and events, experimentation, content supply, and the feedback loop that makes it all learn
Partner with Product on in-app moments, onboarding flows, and the nudges that make the product stick. For retention specifically, this partnership is central
Own the measurement framework. Signup-to-paid conversion, retention curves by cohort, reactivation rate, LTV contribution
Bring AI into content generation, segment modelling, journey design, and testing at pace
Hire and manage a Lifecycle Manager as the programme scales
Feed insights back into Product, Paid Social and Brand so the whole funnel gets sharper

⌘ About You

Full-stack lifecycle operator at a consumer app or subscription business. Not email-only. You have shipped across email, push, SMS and in-app
A builder, not just an executor. You have built lifecycle capabilities such as personalisation, dynamic journeys or next-best-action logic, not only run and optimised campaigns
Deep Customer.io experience or comparable stack (Braze, Iterable). You know how to build without waiting for engineering to hold your hand
Fluent beyond marketing. You understand the building blocks underneath lifecycle: data foundations, event tracking, experimentation infrastructure, scoring and prediction. You can work credibly with Data and Engineering on them
Strong on subscription activation. You have moved signup-to-paid conversion at meaningful scale and can name the levers that worked
Retention muscle built through product partnership. You have worked hand-in-glove with Product on retention, not just messaging. You understand the in-product experience is as much of the lever as the notification is
Reactivation experience. You have won back dormant subscribers at scale
Testing and measurement discipline. You segment, personalise, test, and read the results honestly
AI-native. LLMs and automation for content, segmentation and journey work are already part of your practice
Strong writer or great copy partner. You know what makes a message get opened, tapped, and acted on
Cross-functional. Product and Data are core partners for you. You can hold your own with both
You want to build a function, not just run one. You are ready to hire and manage

Not a campaign-execution role. You build the capabilities and the system, not just the next send
Not a role where retention is yours alone. Product owns the in-product experience. You own the joint programme and drive it; retention is a shared win
Not a pure operator role. You build the strategy and the programme, not just execute someone else's roadmap
Not paid channel accountability. Acquisition sits with Paid Social and Paid Search. This role owns everything after the signup
Not a data engineering role. You understand the data, you brief the data team, you do not build the pipes
