Logistics Compliance Executive

looking to recruit a Logistics Compliance Officer to ensure that we comply with all the relevant regulations relating to import and export customs so that we can dispatch our products, which range from health and beauty to sports nutrition and electrical equipment to customers swiftly and in accordance with local requirements.

Main responsibilities

 

  • Create and organise documentation such as health certificates, sanitary certificates, certificates of inspection, and other government certificates where required
  • Complete and file customs documentation including but not limited to Certificate of Origin, EUR1 and Commercial Invoice
  • Investigate and advise the business on logistics and customs-related requirements for all markets globally
  • Be up-to-date with current trade regulations globally
  • Liaise with the logistics booking team to ensure goods have all the necessary approvals before departure and/or arrival
  • Investigate and advise the business on Tariff Classification of goods
  • Ad - hoc Project work in line with current business demands e.g. product classification projects and new market entry projects.
  • Complete supplementary declarations through the TSS as and when required
  • Provide clearance instructions to courier companies
  • Continuously improve current export compliance processes
  • Other tasks as directed by the business

 

 

Requirements

To be considered for this role you will need to have

 

  • Very good understanding of customs regulations
  • Experience in import/export compliance for products of animal origin
  • Experience with the issuance of preference documents i.e. Certificate of Origin and EUR1
  • Experience in tariff code classification
  • Experience with customs procedures, particularly Inward Processing Relief (IPR)
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to manage large amounts of admin-related tasks in an efficient and timely manner
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Good research skills to support market entry and global trade queries
  • Good organisational and planning skills
  • Good geographical knowledge
  • Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances
