B2B Commercial Controller (gn)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially savvy B2B Commercial Controller (gn) to support our growing B2B business within the consumer goods sector. This role is focused on the fundamentals of B2B performance management—tracking, analyzing, and reporting spend, building customer-level P&Ls, and ensuring clear visibility into business drivers and commercial performance.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, thrives on getting the basics right, and wants to play a key supporting role in driving disciplined growth in a B2B environment.

 

 

Your mission

 

  • Analyze B2B Spend: Monitor and evaluate trade investment, promotional spend, and customer-specific funding to ensure efficient allocation and ROI.
  • Create & Maintain B2B P&Ls: Build and maintain customer-level Profit & Loss statements to track performance, margin, and cost-to-serve.
  • Reporting & Insights: Develop recurring reports and dashboards to track key B2B metrics (e.g. sales, volume, spend, profitability), and deliver actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Support Forecasting & Planning: Assist in monthly forecasting and annual planning processes by providing data-driven inputs and identifying risks/opportunities.
  • Data Integrity: Ensure accuracy of customer-level data across systems and work closely with finance, sales, and supply chain teams to reconcile discrepancies.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Operations to provide the analytical support needed for customer reviews, business cases, and trade terms negotiations.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes and improve data quality and visibility.

 

 

 

 

Your experience & skills

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in a commercial, finance, or analytical role—ideally within a B2B or consumer goods environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to synthesize data into clear insights.
  • Proficiency in Excel; experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other reporting tools is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of P&L concepts and commercial KPIs.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Fluency in English and German
