BI Reporting Analyst
As the BI Reporting Analyst, you will design, develop and maintain high-quality Power BI reports and dashboards that help teams make informed, data-led decisions. You will work closely with clinical, operational, corporate and leadership teams to understand reporting needs, define meaningful KPIs and translate requirements into clear reporting outputs. You will combine business analysis skills with technical reporting expertise, ensuring that dashboards are accurate, user-friendly and aligned to data governance standards. You will support the organisation to identify trends, improve data quality and reduce manual reporting effort. You will also help users understand and adopt reporting outputs through clear documentation, guidance and training.
*Please note, this position will be hybrid model (2 days in office, 3 days from home)*
My Accountabilities - What Can I Expect?
- Gather and document reporting requirements by working closely with stakeholders across clinical, operational and corporate teams, so that Power BI reports and dashboards accurately reflect business needs and support informed decision-making.
- Translate business requirements into reporting specifications, KPI definitions and data requirements by interpreting stakeholder needs and documenting clear reporting criteria, so that reports are consistent, measurable and aligned with organisational objectives.
- Design and build interactive Power BI dashboards and reports by developing appropriate data models and visualisations, so that users can easily access, interpret and act upon key business information.
- Analyse performance trends, data quality gaps and improvement opportunities by interrogating data and identifying meaningful patterns, so that operational and strategic decisions are supported by accurate and actionable insights.
- Validate reporting outputs by checking data accuracy, consistency and completeness throughout the reporting process, so that stakeholders can have confidence in the reliability of organisational reporting.
- Support data governance by maintaining data dictionaries, KPI definitions, reporting standards and clear technical and user documentation, so that data remains consistent, well-governed and easily understood across the organisation.
- Identify, document and escalate data issues by investigating anomalies and following agreed governance processes, so that data integrity is maintained and issues are resolved promptly.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting processes and improve data flows by working collaboratively with system and data owners to remove duplication, resolve inefficiencies and address data issues, so that reporting becomes more efficient, reliable and scalable.
- Manage the report lifecycle by overseeing report development, testing, deployment, maintenance, troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities, so that reporting solutions remain accurate, effective and fit for purpose

- Confident working with stakeholders to understand what they need, challenge where appropriate and agree practical reporting solutions.
- Comfortable using data storytelling to explain performance, risks, trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Committed to continuous improvement, with a proactive approach to improving reporting processes, reducing manual effort and supporting better use of data.
You’re Someone Who Has
- Experience designing, developing and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Experience gathering requirements, engaging with stakeholders and translating business needs into reporting specifications.
- Experience working with large datasets, SQL or data extraction tools, and the ability to identify data quality issues and improvement opportunities.
- Understanding of data governance, GDPR and data protection requirements, with experience applying these principles to reporting outputs.
- Desirable experience includes working in healthcare, NHS or regulated environments, integrating with CRM or case management systems such as Nest, and applying reporting best practice such as structured data modelling.
