Transactional Finance Specialist

Solihull

THE ROLE:

We’re looking for a highly organised and detail‑driven Transactional Finance Specialist to join our Finance team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the accurate reconciliation of payment processors and customer funds, while also providing valuable ad‑hoc support to both our Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) teams.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Transactional Finance & Reconciliation

  • Complete monthly reconciliations of all payment processor funds, including end‑to‑end sales reconciliation from Shopify.
  • Post all payment processor fees and associated charges.
  • Calculate and post accruals for charges not yet received to support a swift and accurate month‑end close.
  • Perform full balance sheet reconciliations across all cash‑related balances, including payment processors, customer deposits, and non‑wholesale AR.

AP & AR Support

  • Provide additional support to AP and AR teams as required, which may include:
    • Posting invoices
    • Reviewing aged creditors
    • Resolving supplier and customer queries
    • Reconciling supplier statements
    • Raising wholesale invoices

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Essential Skills & Experience

  • AAT qualified or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an accounting or finance role.
  • Exceptional Excel skills — confident working with data, formulas, and spreadsheets.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience using SAP.

This is a hybrid role and requires the successful candidate to attend at least 3 days a week in GSIQ, Solihull, UK.
