Head of Strategy

THE ROLE.

The Strategy Team plays a critical role in shaping the long‑term direction of the business and ensuring our most important priorities are clearly defined and effectively executed.

Operating as a hybrid strategic planning function, Office of the CEO, and internal incubator, the team leads the development of our 3‑year strategy, builds robust business plans and growth models, and drives execution through OKRs and executive governance.

Working closely with the CEO, Executive Team, and Commercial Finance, the team supports decision‑making at the highest level, runs Board and ExCo forums, and incubates priority strategic initiatives that accelerate growth.

As Head of Strategy, you will lead the strategic planning and performance management agenda for the business. You will be responsible for shaping long‑term strategy, translating ambition into actionable plans, and ensuring disciplined execution across the organisation.

This is a highly visible role, acting as a strategic partner to the Director of Strategy, Executive Team, and Commercial Finance, while playing a key role in aligning senior leaders around shared priorities.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING.

Strategic Planning & Long‑Term Strategy

  • Lead the development of the company’s 3‑year strategy, including market, customer, and financial analysis
  • Run strategic deep dives across growth opportunities, channels, international expansion, product, and brand
  • Translate strategic priorities into clear, structured initiatives

Business Planning & Growth Modelling

  • Partner with Commercial Finance to build annual and long‑range business plans
  • Develop and maintain growth models and scenario planning tools
  • Support investment cases and strategic business cases

OKRs & Performance Management

  • Own the company‑wide OKR process across annual and biannual cycles
  • Lead strategic reviews to ensure alignment between strategy, goals, and execution
  • Track progress against priorities and surface risks and opportunities

Executive & Board Engagement

  • Prepare board decks and strategic papers for senior leadership and the Board
  • Support board presentations and strategic discussions
  • Lead monthly Executive Committee (ExCo) strategy sessions

Strategy Forums & Facilitation

  • Design and facilitate strategy offsites and leadership workshops
  • Drive alignment through structured facilitation and decision‑making frameworks
  • Act as a trusted, neutral strategic advisor across functions

Operating Model, Governance & Org Design

  • Lead strategic work on operating model, governance, and organisational design
  • Define and evolve decision rights, accountabilities, and leadership forums
  • Partner with the CEO and functional leaders on org design and role clarity
  • Embed execution rhythms and effective ways of working across the business

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • 6+ years of relevant experience gained through strategy consulting and/or in‑house industry roles, with demonstrable ownership of strategic planning and performance initiatives
  • Strong analytical and quantitative capability with high attention to detail
  • Proven experience in strategic planning, problem solving, and financial modelling
  • Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive‑level presentations
  • Experience coaching and developing othersA people‑first mindset with the confidence to challenge and be challenged
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise in a fast‑moving environment
  • Comfortable giving and receiving clear, constructive feedback
  • A natural curiosity and desire to continuously learn and broaden experience

Preferred Skills

  • Strong storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex financial or strategic concepts for non‑financial audiences
  • Experience leading change and transformation
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous or disruptive environments
  • Independent thinker with sound judgement and perspective

This is a rare opportunity to sit at the heart of the business, influencing decisions at the most senior level and shaping the future direction of a fast‑growing, ambitious organisation. You’ll work closely with exceptional leaders, tackle complex strategic challenges, and play a defining role in turning strategy into execution.

This is a hybrid role and would require the successful candidate to attend at least 4 days a week between our HQ in Solihull, and our London office.
