Commercial Analytics Manager
OVERVIEW:
As the Commercial Analytics Manager, you’ll own the Commercial Analytics spoke, acting as a trusted business partner to senior commercial stakeholders. You’ll guide junior analysts, set analytical priorities, and ensure insights are aligned to business objectives and delivered where they create the greatest impact.
You’ll bring together analytics, research, and market intelligence to provide a holistic view of what’s driving performance — and where the biggest opportunities lie.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Lead the Commercial Analytics function, guiding analysts and prioritising high-impact work.

Partner with commercial teams to deliver insights across product, stock, pricing, promotions, marketing, and customer behaviour.

Identify and prioritise category-level sales drivers to support financial targets.

Provide data-led input into pricing, promotions, GTM activity, and investment decisions.

Develop and evolve forecasting models, dashboards, and standardised commercial metrics.

Monitor trading risks and opportunities, translating insights into clear recommendations.

Collaborate with Planning, Digital, Customer Experience, and Data Engineering teams to ensure accurate, timely insight delivery.

Continuously improve analytical tools, processes, and methodologies.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Essential Criteria:

Strong commercial analytics experience with the ability to turn complex data into actionable insight.

Confidence influencing senior stakeholders through clear, data-led storytelling.

Experience in retail across e-commerce and physical channels.

Advanced SQL skills and experience with dashboarding tools (ideally Looker).

Knowledge of forecasting, statistical modelling, and web analytics (e.g. Google Analytics).

Strong prioritisation, project management, and communication skills.

Experience leading, mentoring, or developing analysts.
