Coach - Part Time

OVERVIEW:

This Fitness Coach / Personal Trainer role is based in our Gymshark Lifting Club (GSLC) and is a coach, role model and inspiration to our employees and Lifting Club members, while keeping them safe and connected to our Gymshark community. 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Passionate about fitness you will bring an exemplary level of lifting and fitness knowledge to inspire the GSLC members to reach their physical potential whilst adding to our culture, values and beliefs. Working collaboratively as part of a close-knit team that values mutual support, clear communication,
professionalism, and the ability to think on the spot in a fast-paced environment, you will bring energy and enthusiasm to a diverse workplace, approaching daily tasks with creativity and initiative while following proven guidelines and ensuring a consistent environment.

  • Up-keep professionalism on the gym floor hosting, cleanliness, health and safety. So all members feel safe, and that they all belong under our roof.
  • Closing and opening the gym to high standard of cleanliness and tidiness. 
  • Support our members personal needs giving a variety of alternatives to suit injuries and personal abilities. To keep our world class gym reputation, everyone leaves the room feeling like they have new tools to perform at the highest standard at life or at work.
  • Bring high energy. To keep this environment a positive heartbeat of the business.
  • Constant drive to upskill self within the industry. To stay relevant, inspiring and scientific with knowledge. 
  • Gathering data from classes and reporting back to full team to help us continually improve our services.
  • Leading classes that are on current timetable, classes will adapt and change suiting the needs of the business and employee feedback surveys. Programming is done for you all we need is your energy, knowledge bombs and passion!
  • Foster motivating environment, TRULY believe that you can create THE BEST hour of everyone’s day.
  • Assisting with larger projects where invited. Outside of peak hour hosting and coaching.
  • Be willing to take on tasks, challenges and get stuck in as a team.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience as a personal trainer and a class instructor.
  • Experience in reading fitness programs.
  • Experience adapting exercises to suit all needs.
  • People first mindset.
  • Experience in a fast paced, reactive environment with a small team.
  • Experience working shift patters that will adapt suiting needs of the team and business.
  • Genuinely care about helping others and listening to their goals, needs and wants.
  • Experience working with clients, members in real life.

Qualifications:

  • Level 2 Certificate in Gym Instructing.
  • Level 3 REPS or BSc level sports science focused degree.
  • Exercise to music or equivalent.
  • Up to date first aid certificates.

CLOSING DATE: Wednesday 14th January

Part Time Opportunity - This is a 21hrs contract and an onsite role and although there are no set hours we require the successful candidate to work some weekends and work across the early and late shift.
