Studio Resource Lead

OVERVIEW:

The Studio Resource Lead plays a key role in helping deliver a leaner, faster, and more accurate studio – one that produces better work, more efficiently, and at scale.

Reporting into the Head of Studio Operations, this person is responsible for the allocation and management of creative resources across multiple sub-teams. They work closely with Creative Managers and Project Managers to ensure all projects are resourced effectively and delivered on time.

This pivotal role provides essential visibility into resource utilisation, highlights potential bottlenecks, and supports data-driven decision-making to optimise operations and unlock productivity across the team.

  

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Resource Allocation and optimisation: Collaborate with Creative Studio leads and to assess and fulfil resource requirements for our evolving campaign calendar and planned BAU requirements.
    Establish an allocation of creative resources based on campaign needs, timelines, agreed SLA’s, team capacity, and use of core supplier partners agreed scope and capacity. Work closely with the studio heads and operations teams to identify where we can drive productivity and utilisation of resources improvement and deploy the relevant solutions across tech, partner and cross organisational workflows.
  • Monitoring & Adjustments: Continuously monitor resource allocation and make necessary adjustments as campaign priorities evolve and change based on business needs.
    Partner with the Head of Operations to prioritise workload across the studio. Keep relevant studio leads updated on resourcing changes and their impact on timelines.
  • Process Implementation: Implement and manage a smart resourcing process. Adopt latest tools to enable systematic and automated resource allocation to briefs and longer terms forecasted campaigns. Track the data points that support how we drive higher utilisation levels of our team time. Ensure adherence to established SLAs and resourcing guidelines.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Provide regular reports on resource utilisation, team capacity, and productivity gains. Support cost attribution by tracking and reporting workload-associated costs, helping to inform future budgeting and recruitment needs.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as the single point of contact for resource-related queries from all campaign stakeholders.
    Communicate any changes or updates in resource planning effectively to all relevant parties.
  • Risk & Bottleneck Management: Proactively flag potential risks and bottlenecks to team leads. Build appropriate flexibility and tolerances into that effectively reduce change impact on productivity
  • Relationship Building: Build strong relationships with internal teams, fostering a collaborative environment. Negotiate and influence resourcing decisions to ensure optimal use of resource and project delivery
  • Operational Performance: You will be a key member of a close-knit team of our Creative Studio Ops leads, focused on complimentary and interdependent projects and programs that ladder up to the lighthouse vision. Your experience will be called upon to support a range of initiatives to optimise our talents time, cross organisational workflows, partner relationships and innovation. 

 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven experience in resource management, preferably within a creative, marketing, or brand environment.
  • Proficiency within latest resource management tools and software.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to generate actionable insights from data.
  • Proven experience in building systematic, smart and scalable resourcing models across a broad set of demands and resources  
  • Ability to manage multiple competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Must be able to work on-site at least 3 days a week.

WHAT YOU COULD ALSO HAVE:

  • Strong understanding of creative workflows across various media and platforms.
  • Strong understanding of creative and production team dynamics and needs.
  • Experience in facilitating resource dashboards and process improvements.
  • Ability to manage SLAs and ensure timely project delivery.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Comfortable facilitating meetings and resource discussions with senior stakeholders.
  • Skilled in providing actionable insights on workload, utilisation, and costs.
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and leading change

This is a hybrid role and would require the successful candidate to attend at least 3 days a week in GSIQ, Solihull, UK.
