Fraud Prevention Specialist - 12m FTC

OVERVIEW:

As online fraud becomes increasingly sophisticated, this role is critical to maintaining the integrity of our brand and protecting our global community. By conducting Fraud Prevention tasks, the eCommerce Fraud Prevention Specialist ensures that our business is protected from existing & emerging fraud threats. 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Analysing Transaction Patterns: Identifying trends and anomalies in transaction and conversation data to detect fraudulent activity, leveraging these insights to support the refinement of fraud prevention strategies. 
  • Educate & Advise: Provide fraud awareness training to business departments, equipping them with the knowledge that they need to identify and mitigate fraud risks. 
  • Advise on Fraud Risk for Business Initiatives: Support the fraud prevention manager by providing insights and recommendations on fraud risks for new initiatives such as loyalty and membership schemes. 
  • Support Policy & Process Development: Assist in the creation, documentation and refinement of fraud prevention policies and procedures. 
  • Implement Mitigation Strategies: Contribute to the execution of fraud mitigation strategies to reduce financial losses while maintaining a seamless customer experience. 
  • Monitor & Infiltrate Fraud Networks: Stay ahead of emerging threats by monitoring dark web forums, fraud communities, and other nefarious platforms to identify potential risks and trends. 
  • Present Evidence for Escalated Cases: Gather, document and present compelling evidence to support the resolution of high-risk escalations, working closely with internal teams and external partners. 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience: Demonstratable experience working in an operational role within an eCommerce business 
  • Experience: A basic understanding of eCommerce & Payments 
  • Analytical thinker with a basic ability to interpret data and identify trends 
  • Communication Skills: who can clearly explain fraud risks and processes to internal teams 
  • Discretion & Professionalism: you’ll need to be able to handle sensitive information securely and responsibly. 

This is a hybrid role and would require the successful candidate to attend at least 3 days a week in GSIQ, Solihull, UK.
