Finance Manager - FP&A

We’re taking our Management Accounting to the next level, and we need a Finance Manager with outstanding expertise, sharp strategic and commercial acumen, and top-tier business partnering skills. In this role, you’ll own FP&A processes across all business areas — Revenue, COGS, Direct Costs, Brand & Marketing, or Overheads — helping us power smarter decisions and fuel our growth journey.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Be a lead for designing and performing the preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and relevance of financial data.
  • Provide comprehensive financial analysis and commentary on business performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to track business performance and profitability.
  • Be a collaborative business partner to Heads of respective departments to draw conclusions on financial implications and support cross-functional decision-making.
  • Manage regular forecasting cycles, working closely with key stakeholders to ensure financial targets are stretched but achievable.
  • Perform independent analysis of financial variances and proactively collaborate with departments to ensure corrective actions are taken when necessary.
  • Drive continuous improvement in the management accounting processes, ensuring they are scalable and able to support the growth of the business.
  • Support in the review, challenge and improvement of Balance Sheet accounting/reconciliations to ensure accuracy of the financial position, including coordination and resolution of any Risks & Opportunities.
  • Manage year-end queries and support the provision of data for audit requests during the external audit process. Lead role as the key contact for the auditors for your business area.  
  • Lead and manage a team of junior accountants, providing guidance to deliver in line with expectations and on time. Be a mentor, deliver training, and career development support, so team is engaged and motivated.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the finance team and across organisation.
  • Ensure the team remains aligned with the company's values and strategic objectives. 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Essential Criteria:

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification with demonstrable experience in management accounting.
  • Demonstrable experience in management accounting or a similar finance role, ideally within a high-growth or scale-up organisation.
  • Proven experience in preparing and analysing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of financial systems, with advanced Microsoft Office skills and experience with ERP systems (SAP). Working knowledge of BI tools (Looker, PowerBI, Tableau) with SQL/python knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with senior leadership and influence key business decisions with data-driven insights.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Self-starter that embraces ambiguity that is expected to be both a leader as well as a hands-on contributor. 

WHAT YOU COULD ALSO HAVE:

  • Experience managing or mentoring a team of finance professionals, fostering development and driving high performance.
  • A forward-thinking mindset with the ability to adapt quickly to changes in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving environment.
  • Experience with or interest in working in innovative industries and start-up or scale-up organisations.
  • Strong business and commercial understanding, with the ability to drive strategic initiatives that create value.
  • Ability to balance long-term financial goals with the need for short-term operational agility and innovation

This is a hybrid role and would require the successful candidate to attend at least THREE days a week in GSHQ, Solihull, UK.
