Artworker – Apparel Graphics & Print
OVERVIEW:
We’re looking for a Graphic Design Artworker to join our design team, focusing on Graphic and print execution for apparel and accessories. You will ensure artwork is production-ready, correctly formatted, and handed over smoothly to our development teams. You’ll work closely with our Graphics and Print Designers,
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Responsible for:
- Creating print-ready artwork files for apparel graphics, ensuring correct formats, resolutions, and separations
- Managing file organisation on the server and uploading artwork to the PLM system
- Supporting the team with strike-off and colour approvals
- Working collaboratively with internal teams to ensure designs meet production requirements
- Maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail in all artwork preparation
- Organising handover meetings with Development teams
- Supporting Designers with recolouring graphics across options
- Assisting the Design Team in reformatting of graphics across different product types
- Supporting the team in building overview decks and presentation documents for key meetings and development handovers
Accountable for:
- Concise attention to detail.
- Championing Gymshark product by maintaining a knowledge of inline Gymshark products
- Team mentality and clear communication within design team, and wider cross functions.
- Push yourself to learn new skills and apply them where appropriate to improve yours and the teams output
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Essential Skills & Experience
- Education in Graphic Design (BA, BFA, BS)
- Strong understanding of file setup, colour management, and print production
- Ability to adapt to changing market landscape and to pivot and be flexible within the work space as needed.
- Proficiency in in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office
- Have an outstanding design portfolio
- Able to present work to an audience of key stakeholders
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Experience in print and patternmaking
- Knowledge of 3D design software
- Willingness to challenge and be challenged
- Prior experience in a fashion or sportswear brand (preferably in graphics/print production)
- Familiarity with PLM systems
OPTIONAL: This is a hybrid role and would require the successful candidate to attend at least 3days a week in GSHQ, Solihull, UK.
