Sourcing Executive (6m FTC)

OVERVIEW: 

Join us as a Sourcing Coordinator on a 6-month maternity cover and be part of our passionate team dedicated to ensuring exceptional sporting apparel is delivered on time.  

Your mission? To manage the heavy administrative tasks involved in coordinating with internal product teams and suppliers to meet handover dates that align with our launch schedules. 

As our Sourcing Coordinator, you'll work hand in hand with cross-functional teams including Merchandising Team, Product Development team, Product Buying Team and Suppliers to facilitate order placement and ensure expectations regarding capability, capacity, quality, and performance are met. 

Your meticulous attention to detail will be key in ensuring smooth operations.  

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: 

  • Executing order placement, meeting expectations on quality, capability, and capacity. 
  • Updating critical path, ensuring hitting deadlines across multiple departments. 
  • Collaborating with Sourcing leads to negotiate costings. 
  • Proactively updating capacity, optimising utilisation with merchandising. 
  • Reviewing forecasts, updating commitments with vendors. 
  • Managing SKU attribution accurately before PO raising. 
  • Benchmarking core lines, reviewing product re-engineering insights. 
  • Participating in supplier meetings, problem-solving, and discussing key dates.

Accountable for: 

  • Ensuring product profitability, reporting on costing status. 
  • Reporting development and buy ready status. 
  • Providing updates on order vs. line plan status. 
  • Continuously enhancing service, cost, and quality. 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED: 

  • Comprehensive understanding of costing principles
  • Proficiency in Excel is crucial given the heavy administrative nature 
  • Understanding the nuances of production creation, garment manufacturing, and production management 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a focus on finding solutions 
  • Exceptional attention to detail and highly organised 
  • Proficiency in conveying insights through data-driven storytelling 
  • Familiarity with trade agreements and external legislation is advantageous

This is a hybrid role and would require the successful candidate to attend at least 3 days a week in GSHQ, Solihull, UK.
